A few months ago, one of my performers suggested we go to an abandoned skate park for practice night. I didn't get it, but I figured we could give it a shot. I had no idea how hard I was about to fall in love.

It's so private! No one can see us from roads, far enough away from everything that we can blast our music, perform our rituals, fall in love with each other.

And the pictures! The graffiti is just amazing! The walls surrounding us, backed by wildflowers...

We'll be moving indoors for practice soon, but it's not the same. I can't wait to go back in the spring.

Last night we indulged in ritual at a sacred place.

Gillian is my hero! I can assemble a cast, book shows, teach safety and skills, enchant my cast to not burn, but it's her technical skills that make our music happen. Each song needs to be cut to burn time and assembled into a single track and it's ALL her work that does that.
