Second rabies shot: ✔️
Shot experience: easy.
Band-Aid selection: unacceptable.
Last time I got a dinosaur. This time I got… beige.
Still smiling because I’ll be behind the desk tonight for the 7, 10, and 11. Nothing says “day off” quite like vaccines and newscasts. 😂💉📺
See you then! ❤️

4 shots: two in the thigh, two in the arm. What a Monday.
Started my rabies vaccine series today because apparently finding a bat flying over your bed in the middle of the night comes with a surprising amount of paperwork and follow-up appointments.😀
On the bright side, the staff at ECMC were absolutely fantastic and made the whole process quick, easy, and way less intimidating than I expected!
And yes … I got to choose the dinosaur bandaids. 🦖

Thankful for the rain … because I did make the loaded potato soup like I said I would on Wake-Up this morning!
Ok …. maybe I’m lying … and my lovely boyfriend Pat did do a majority of the work. He’s the best! ❤️
Also, Kevin is doing great after his rabies booster shot! 🐈
One minute we’re talking about Coors Light’s new taller boy canister…. the next minute I’m declaring it a perfect soup day.
Hope you all have fun keeping up with us! 🤪
Nothing could have prepared me for a random lake story unlocking the memory that WIVB Meteorologist Sara Stierly is genuinely afraid of Onondaga Lake.
The second I thought about it, I started laughing. Then Sara started laughing. Then neither of us could stop laughing while trying to talk about lakes on live television.
It's really hard to sound serious when you're sitting next to someone who has beef with a body of water. But Sara we still love you❤️

Kevin’s bat-hunting career officially came to an end today with a trip to the vet.🐈
Since he was the one who first spotted the bat (by attempting to swat it out of the air over my bed), the vet recommended a rabies booster just to be safe.
Kevin handled the appointment very well, assuming you don’t count the part where three grown adults had to hold him down for one tiny shot. (A big shoutout to the staff at Buffalo Small Animal Hospital … they are the best!) 😺
As for me, I start my rabies shot series Monday. So while the bat may be gone, its legacy lives on … 🦇

FINAL BAT UPDATE 🦇
After 106 hours (4 days, 10 hours, and 20 minutes) with no sightings, I think it’s safe to say the bat saga is officially over.
I’m hoping our little visitor found its way back outside where it belongs. Thank you to everyone who followed along, sent advice, checked in, and became unexpectedly invested in this journey.
To the bat: please don’t come back. ❤️🦇
