By reducing stray pet populations through sterilization, adoption, fostering, and shelter partnerships, we aim to strengthen underserved, overpopulated pet communities in the Midwest.
These two puppies almost became another statistic.
When our team arrived, they were absolutely terrified. They didn’t run to us for help. They ran from us. Every movement, every attempt to get close, was met with fear. They had already begun learning to survive without human kindness.
They likely would have grown up feral. Struggling to find food. Facing harsh weather. Producing more unwanted puppies. Living lives filled with fear instead of love.
But today, their story changed.
Today they are safe.
Tonight they’ll sleep somewhere warm. They’ll have full bellies. They’ll experience gentle hands instead of having to fend for themselves. For the first time, they have a chance at the life every dog deserves.
The reality is that there are so many more just like them waiting for help.
And right now, we’re scared too.
Over the past few days alone, we’ve had three puppies hospitalized with parvovirus for three days while continuing to care for countless animals that are sick, injured, neglected, or in desperate need of medical attention. The veterinary bills continue to pile up, and despite our best efforts, donations simply aren’t keeping pace with the need.
If we cannot secure additional funding, we honestly don’t know what the future holds for urgent medical cases. We don’t know how many more times we’ll be able to say “yes” when the next call comes in about puppies like these.
These two puppies were lucky. Someone showed up before it was too late.
Please help us make sure we can keep showing up.
If you’re able, please donate. If you’ve ever thought about making a larger gift, now is the time. We’re also desperately searching for a donor or business willing to sponsor a matching donation challenge to help us raise the funds needed to continue this lifesaving work.
Because somewhere tonight, there are more puppies just like these waiting for someone to care.
And we want to be able to answer that call.

This is a huge plea for help.
We’re at a point where we need to be completely transparent: if we cannot secure the funding needed to cover these expenses, we’re not sure what the future holds when it comes to taking on urgent medical cases. The need isn’t slowing down, but our resources are being stretched to the limit.
We know you’ve seen us posting a lot of needs lately. The truth is, we’re only sharing a fraction of them. Every day we’re trying to figure out what story to tell, what animal to highlight, and what post might actually make it through the algorithm and onto your feed.
Meanwhile, the bills keep coming.
This week alone, we’ve had three puppies hospitalized for parvovirus for three days and two in heartworm treatment. At the same time, we’re caring for injured animals, sick puppies, dogs suffering from severe mange, and countless others who need medical treatment before they can have a chance at a better life.
By the end of today, we will have spent over $15,000 at just one veterinary clinic this week alone. That’s not our total veterinary expense. We work with multiple veterinary clinics, and those invoices continue to come in as well.
Then there are the costs people don’t always see: van rentals while our main vans are in use, fuel for the thousands of miles traveled to transport animals to safety, supplies, medications, insurance, and our upcoming annual audit - a required expense that will cost approximately $15,000.
That means we’re facing roughly $30,000 in immediate expenses between veterinary care and our audit alone in a week’s time.
We don’t share this because we want sympathy. We share it because the reality is that every parvo puppy, every emergency surgery, every dog battling severe neglect, and every animal with nowhere else to turn depends on us being able to say “yes.”
And right now, we need your help to keep saying yes.
To everyone who has donated, shared our posts, fostered, adopted, volunteered, or supported us in any way - thank you. We see you. We appreciate you. You are the reason we’ve been able to save thousands of animals.
We’re also looking for one or more generous donors who may be willing to make a larger gift and help us create a matching challenge. Matching donations often inspire others to give, knowing their impact will be doubled. If you, your family, your business, or your employer would be interested in sponsoring a match, please reach out to us.
Today, we’re asking for more help.
If 300 people gave $100, we would meet this need. If 600 people gave $50, we would meet this need. Every donation, no matter the amount, makes a difference.
The animals need us.
Today, we’re asking you to help make sure we’re still able to be there for them tomorrow.

We need help with our heartworm dogs!
Toasty and Reel are two dogs we helped from an Arkansas shelter a week ago that were at risk of euthanasia. Toasty is an old soul that has severe dental disease but also heartworm. Reel was found with her puppies and we never leave mamas behind, but she too had to have a dental and also has heartworm.
Today, Reel started her heartworm treatment and tomorrow Toasty starts his. They will receive three injections over the next few months. Without this treatment, this is a deadly disease.
Between both of their care for the heartworm treatment and dentals, it’s about $4,000! An amount that is hard on our already depleting vetting funds.
Please help us raise much needed funding for these two sweet souls!

🐾 Happy Adoption Update! 🐾 It's been one month since Cluck Cluck (He now goes by Noodle!) went home, and we are thrilled to share that he is living his best life with his new family! 💙
Noodle has settled in beautifully and has become quite the little character. His family describes him as vivacious, fun-loving, and incredibly smart. He loves playing with feather toys, chasing crunchy balls around the house, and even hunting for feet under the blankets!
When playtime is over, Noodle transforms into a cuddly purr machine. One of his favorite things is being held upside down like a baby while getting his tummy scratched.
Thank you to his wonderful adopters for giving this special boy the happy life he deserves! 🏡✨
