Join us this Saturday June 20th at 10 am for a boat launch cleanup in the Old First Ward; Ohio St. and Mutual Riverfront Park on the Buffalo River. We will meet at 10 am at Sevens Cafe (225 Louisiana St) and then head over to the cleanup spots. Optional paddle on the river and lunch at Gene McCarthy’s after. Hope to see you there!

We are cleaning up a couple of boat launches in the old first ward: the Ohio St. boat launch and the Mutual Riverfront Park, a couple of our favorite launch spots for kayaks, canoes, and SUPs. We will meet at 10am at Sevens Cafe (225 Louisiana St) and then head over to the cleanup spots, with an optional paddle on the river after and lunch at Gene McCarthys.

Howdy everyone! Lake Erie is at 60 deg and summer’s right around the corner. Seems like a good time for a MEETING; TUESDAY, JUNE 9th 6:30 pm at PEARL ST. Grill and Brewery. 76 Pearl St in downtown Buffalo. We’ll meet upstairs talk about our upcoming summer events, volunteer opportunities, discuss some policy and how you can help make the world we live in a cleaner place for all.

Any guesses what these are? These tiny pellets may look harmless, but they’re a growing environmental concern found in waterways and along shorelines around the world. Thanks to all who participated in our Oak Orchard Cleanup earlier this month and picked up 350 of these in 2 hrs! Love My Park Day Cleanup at Oak Orchard Marine Park, May 2, 2026 was full of the usual surprises but a new one for us was NURDLE'S and NURDLE'S and NURDLE'S and ... you get it. The park itself was fairly clean but the beach was one of the most plastic polluted beaches we have found. And we found thousands of Nurdle's. They are the small beads of raw plastic used to make products. Thanks to everyone who came out and helped make your public beach a cleaner place!

SATURDAY MAY 2nd, 10am-12pm ! Come join us and the Swans for LOVE MY PARK Day at OAK ORCHARD STATE PARK. We'll do a cleanup and paddle afterwards. Oak Orchard, Marsh Creek, Lake Ontario, it's all there... and a bit of trash as well. Going to be a fun morning! Rain day is Sunday May 3; same place same time.
