#911 IT'S A STATE OF EMERGENCY...
YOUR HOUSE IS ON FIRE.
It started out small... with a minor annoyance or a little "white lie"
(you ignored it)
It grew from there... failed relationship
(you had to work)
You stoked it a little bit with your judgment and manipulation
(you got bills to pay)
It started to heat up... with financial difficulties
(uh oh! you just left the doctor)
Hey There!!! Forget about the money,,,,
YOUR HOUSE IS ON FIRE!!!!!
It's Time Now to See and Hear the TRUTH.
Will you be able to handle it?!
"their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work." 1 Co 3:13

While you're in-between roles attempting to seek stability can appear to be unrealistic. The pressures of life and uncertainty begin to kick in and weigh on you heavily.
In these moments when the confusion and overwhelm are building up, pause, you're closer than you think.
For many women in transition, this is the time when they need to lean in the most and trust the process. The right person to guide you on the journey will show up, an answer will be revealed in a book or an opportunity becomes clear.
Don't be discouraged. Everything will fall into place with clarity and a calm spirit. My coach has always told me to make the jump that most scares me and know that the parachute will open along the way.
If you're not quite there and need some support getting into your next tech career, reach out to me. :)

Recently, a candidate was told by a hiring manager that a thank you letter was unnecessary.
“…as an interviewer, I have received them. Often times when I would get them, it would be after the decision about whether they make it to the next round had already been made, so it wouldn't have made a difference.”
Although this may be true in his case, there have been many instances where the extra step of expressing gratitude has made a real difference to the hiring team.
The answer is it depends on the company and the culture on whether it will be a game changer for you.
If you’re on the fence, expressing gratitude will activate good in your life irregardless of the interview outcome. 😊
While you thought your skills weren’t enough, you've been more than qualified
all the time. 💥

Let’s Chat…
You’ve been doing all the work in looking for your next tech role. It’s not easy, it’s alot.
You get up and apply to at minimum 20 positions. You’re diligent at it. Tweaking your cover letter and filling out all of the fields in the application tracking systems. I hear you, if only you could just send your resume… wouldn’t that make sense?!
After days of going after it and countless applications later, you land your first interview. This is good.
The only thing is after doing all that work and creating all that momentum, this is the part you sabotage yourself. Despite researching the company and having strong skills, you forget what to say. The questions start to roll in and your reply, “Um!” Uh oh, now the tension is rising. Your really good at what you do but the hiring team will never know it.
The process of getting to the interview is only part of it. Managing your performance on the interview is the difference between staying frustrated and getting hired.
Comment below, if this chat resonated with you and you need help getting clear. I’d love to continue chatting!

We love helping transitioning candidates see clearer!!!!!!
It is time to stop having "Worth" conversations. Your compensation does not equal your worth. It also has nothing to do with what you deserve.
The bottom line for , is your ability to articulate the value that you bring to the market place.
No longer focus on "getting paid your worth".
(btw, you're invaluable, ok!!)
Gain a new perspective, "I get paid based on the value I bring in the room."
If you need clarity on what that looks like for you, schedule a clarity session today.

Changing careers can be frustrating. You want to get the role that you want, better yet, that you deserve, but it's scary and confusing!
It's the "I don't know where to start".
It's the "will my experience even be good enough".
It's the "I don't know how to make this change".
It's the bills piling up, the family responsibilities, the time that's too limiting.
It's the need for work that means something to you.

Since 2018, I have supported this organization through good deeds and ambassadorship of the Phenomenal Woman Empowerment Network (PWEN).
As the event coordinator, we’ve scaled our annual programming via conferences, delivering thousands of dollars in scholarships to disadvantaged students entering college, bringing household names to Phoenix, such as, Rebecca King-Crews, Lisa Nichols, Dr. Eric Thomas and many more.
This year, not only did I have the privilege of returning for an awesome year focused on breaking barriers, shattering status quo, while building legacies; but my organization, Fueled4Performance, LLC, made our first charitable donation of $1000.00.
In the words of Sharise Erby, “$1000 dollars is not a lot of money until you don’t have it.”
My encouragement is to go to the website, mypwen.org, and learn more on how you can get involved with this movement and pledge your support.

Last weekend was nothing less than Spectaclar. The Phenomenal Woman Empowerment Network, Inc. held its 10th annual event, hosting none other than the most inspiring Dr. Eric Thomas.
Joyfully, I had the privilege to be his concierge and ensure a smooth transition to the stage.
Of course, the house was brought down with his message to us specifically, “Black women, turn up, it’s your time!”
It is an honor to advocate on behalf of PWEN’s organization, they continue the charge of breaking barriers, shattering the status quo and building legacies.

Get Sparked!!
What a wonderful opportunity to speak on an international platform about the necessary steps needed to move from scattered to extreme career clarity.
Enjoy this full interview.
It's so funny seeing the playback. I was nervous. I could've have shared other insights. However, despite the flaws there was still good energy and many can be helped.

YOU CAN HAVE A CAREER THAT IS MEANINGFUL, THE PROBLEM IS THAT YOU DON'T BELIEVE IT.
What an honor to be with Evan CarMichael, the founder of Believe!! He shares his philosophy which is simply this:
Everybody has Michael Jordan level talent at something.
You are the greatest at the world at something. It's probably not what your parents told you to do or what the people around you are doing...
Don't stay in your comfort zone. Trust your dream even when it doesn't make logical sense and birth it into existence.
We need the special talent that you have.
