We have all hear it said "you can't teach an old dog new tricks." While I am not an old dog (yet), I would agree. What the older dogs have learned are that tricks and short cuts do not work; Only diligence, hard work, and mastery of ones craft. So, if your an old dog, or just a pup, remember there is no substitute for seeking excellence in all you do!
***All Concerned, we received notification that the March 17 Career Fair will be canceled. Please see below for Details from SCC "Dear employer partners,

Kudos to our Veterans Services team member, Gerard Ball (pictured, top left), who moderated a virtual program yesterday, with former Eastern Band of Cherokee Indians (EBCI) Chief Michell Hicks and Greg Richardson, Executive Director of the North Carolina Commission on Indian Affairs.

Organized by the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion () office of the North Carolina Department of Commerce, this "Lunch and Learn" focused on the cultural and life experiences of Native Americans in North Carolina. Our state is home to eight recognized tribes, which contribute to our rich diversity and history. Executive Director Richardson is a member of the Haliwa-Saponi Tribe.
