I had the pleasure of visiting Birth Detroit this week. I met a few of these lovely ladies at a breastfeeding conference in 2023. During that time, I was so impressed with the work they were doing in their community, I told them I would be back for their grand opening. Well, I missed that mark BUT I wasn’t too far off…

When I tell you these women are killing it… THEY ARE DOING THE DAMN THING!!! Being in the midst of such amazing midwives was just what my heart needed. I am honored that I had the joy of shadowing them and learning from them this week. They made me feel at home and welcome and genuinely part of the team. I almost didn’t come home 🫣

Ladies, please keep up the good work… I’ll be back 🫶🏾

I also do not request funds from my clients in this way. If you receive something like this from someone claiming to be me, contact me immediately and report it and the email address it came from!!!

Whether you’re pregnant, a new mom, or looking for support, come connect with doulas, midwives, and lactation specialists. We’ll also offer ultrasounds, prenatal care, and talk about postpartum support in a safe, welcoming space.

Plus, don’t miss our Sister Circle at noon—a sacred space for Black women to come together, share their stories, and build a strong sense of community.
