Last week, many of our patients and staff were excited to watch Team USA compete. Knowing some patients would be spending part of game day with us, Dr. Durham helped us to stream it in the lobby so they wouldn't have to miss the action.

It was fun to see a few patients and staff members gather for a few minutes to cheer, chat, and enjoy the game together.

Moments like these remind us that cancer care is about more than treatments and appointments—it's about community, connection, and supporting one another through every step of the journey.

We're grateful for the wonderful patients we serve, the dedicated team we work alongside each day, and leaders like Dr. Durham who help make Brazos Valley Cancer Center feel a little more like home.

Good luck to Team USA in their next match!

Keytruda is one example of how immunotherapy has transformed cancer treatment.

By helping the body's immune system recognize and respond to cancer cells, immunotherapy has expanded treatment options for many patients and continues to play an important role in modern cancer care.

In fact, Keytruda has received more than 40 FDA-approved indications across a wide range of cancer types, highlighting the growing impact of immunotherapy in oncology and the progress being made in personalized cancer treatment.

At Brazos Valley Cancer Center, we are committed to helping patients understand their treatment options and navigate their care with confidence.

At Brazos Valley Cancer Center, our mission is simple: We care about you.

Recently, our team participated in a "Why Do You Do What You Do?" activity through the Lilly Moments program. Staff members were invited to reflect on what inspires them each day—and one message stood out again and again:

Our patients.

Every appointment, every phone call, every treatment, and every act of support is driven by the people and families who place their trust in us.

We're grateful for partnerships like Lilly Moments that encourage meaningful conversations and help us celebrate the purpose behind our work.

To our patients: thank you for allowing us to be part of your journey. You are the reason we do what we do. 💙

Rainy days in the Brazos Valley have a way of slowing things down and reminding us to appreciate the little things.

We're grateful for the peaceful view outside our windows and the dedicated team members who help make our clinic a welcoming place each day.

Cancer treatment isn't easy, but we hope our surroundings offer a small sense of comfort for our patients and their families.

It's not where anyone hopes to spend their day, but if treatment is part of the journey, we're honored to provide care in a place that feels a little more peaceful.

We care about you. 💙

A quick snapshot of three people who help make Brazos Valley Cancer Center a great place to be.

Dr. Floyd, Dr. Durham, and Kacie spend their days caring for patients, supporting one another, and occasionally taking a moment for a photo together.

We're thankful for the incredible team we have and the care they provide to our community every day.

Uterine Cancer Awareness Month 💛

Treatment for uterine cancer is not one-size-fits-all. Depending on the type and stage of disease, treatment may include surgery, radiation, chemotherapy, immunotherapy, or targeted therapy.

At our practice, we are proud to provide advanced systemic treatments right here in our office, including chemotherapy regimens such as carboplatin and paclitaxel, as well as newer targeted and immunotherapy options when appropriate.

Just as important as the treatments themselves is the team behind them. We work closely with gynecologic oncologists, radiation oncologists, pathologists, surgeons, and primary care providers to ensure each patient receives coordinated, personalized care every step of the way.

Because cancer care is strongest when specialists work together—and when patients know they are never facing it alone. 💛
