I heard this morning that some people have received a phone call informing them that they missed a court date in the 472nd District Court and will be held in contempt.

They were told they were sent a summons for US vs. Rekia Jackson with a case number.

THIS IS A SCAM!!

You will never be informed via a phone call that you are being held in contempt. The Court only communicates in writing.

It’s ELECTION DAY!

I’ll be at the Brazos Center all day, Emily and the kids will be at College Station Utilities, and I’ll have supporters all across the county at various polling locations throughout the day! Come on out and exercise your right to vote!

It’s a beautiful day here in Brazos County to kick off the First Day of Early Voting! Come on out to say Howdy! to the candidates at the McLeod Building in downtown Bryan!

I enjoyed the format for “Speed Dating with the Candidates” at today’s League of Women Voters candidate’s forum. Emily and I attended, and I was able to share how my life experiences, not just my legal experiences, have shaped me to be the best choice for the 472nd Civil District Judge.

My ‘ride-or-die’ daughter was out with me again this morning on the campaign trail! We stopped at Jesse’s Taqueria to drop off more flyers (and for the best breakfast taco in B/CS!), then we were off to meet residents, hand out campaign literature and put yard signs up around town!

Now we’re back home to regroup and get ready for the League of Women Voters event at Ringer Library today at 2pm!
