The worst part about breeding horses is the amount of uncertainty and risk between signing the breeding contract, and having a young horse to start. Two years of natural risk, two years of injury risk, and then the uncertainty of what the final product will actually BE.

Well, we're taking a large amount of uncertainty and risk out of the picture for you. 😘

This flashy filly by Bullys Legacy, out of a saint of a mare that showed in stock horse competitions could be yours! Go to the original post to see how you can have a chance at getting 🎨 Mona Lisa for 85 bucks!

Bullys Legacy had a stellar weekend up in Kansas at the Heritage Park Horse Trial. A smooth and consistent dressage test started off his weekend in the lead and two constant jumping rounds finished out the weekend to bring home the win. We are looking forward to the rest of the show season for Bullys Legacy!

A trip down to Great Southwest Equestrian center a few weeks back made for a great summer show for Bully’s Legacy. We checked off the first level dressage scores to put towards our goal of a bronze medal.

We are looking forward to the start of the fall season here in a few weeks with several shows and clinics on the schedule!

ability to adapt or be adapted to many different functions or activities.

Even if you never intend to try another discipline, another event, or another direction, a horse with the mental and physical ability to do so will always have value. Bullys Legacy babies have proven to be as versatile as him.

Building a 🌟 Legacy 🌟 on versatility.

On this rainy day going through some past films, I found one of my rodeo runs that is a favorite memory and often is the experience I use to illustrate the huge difference between our rodeo world expectations and the English world expectations. Wimberly, this rodeo is such a challenging atmosphere. The warm up is like many others, in the grass parking area, but this one is a little different being on a hill, and this is west Texas Hill country, the grass grows on rock. Many flat rocks poke out from the ground making it important to be watching closely to where your horses feet are. There is a small warm up arena far up on the hill but it is so hard and dry the dust will cakes a horse and rider's lungs quickly so we tend to avoid it. The importance of a calm, balanced and maneuverable horse is highlighted here even just to warm up.

Then, as you see, it is not a center gate, that is also not totally unheard of, but at this one you can pick to either come from the right, or the left side. Now, being a right handed horse coming from that right side sets that lead up a bit easier coming along the front of the bucking chutes, but here, the left gate is wide open to the parking lot, easy to access, but that right side, you have to go through two small person walk through gates to cross the return alley and get into a holding pen where you can wait your turn. Many of us picked that holding pen as we wanted to come from a right entry, but, this holding pen not only was small with your other competitors standing with their horses (fun for a stallion) but also was the pen for the mutton bustin' sheep! Compete with their tarp shelter flopping in the wind. Diggy, the ever steady steed, stood quiet as an old ranch gelding, hip cocked and content to patiently wait his turn. This run is him coming in and yet again just going to work and doing his job despite those challenges.

I giggle often when people ask me how my stallion handles the busy atmosphere of the big eventing shows, or when I hear people in the English world complaining about a warm up arena too close to the competition arena or someone being distracting with an umbrella. What these rodeo horses handle is a true testament to the incredible versatile and mentally tough quarter horse and I am so grateful everyday I get to be aboard this exceptional one.

Diggy has been making waves everywhere he goes. From the barrel and rodeo pen to the dressage arena and now eventing. He goes and competes with the toughest of competition and never disappoints. He has placed in the top in each and every one of these arenas against top horses specifically, bred, born and trained for their one job. Like the American Quarter Horse breed was originally made to be, he wears so many hats and wears them well.
He is the truest of athletes and the fiercest of competitors. His babies are making real heart horses for people as they carry on his legacy of talent, disposition and exceptional trainability. Books are open for 2025 limited cooled contracts available.
