US 20 is NOT the longest route. US 6 is the longest route. (details in my comment below)

Commemorate the ๐Ÿ’ฏth anniversary of the US route system here > https://www.usends.com/store ๐ŸŽ‚ Historically a quintuple US route concurrency existed to the east of West Memphis. According to AASHO records, US 63 ended in Memphis, but I have not seen evidence that US 63 was ever signposted on the Tennessee side of the river. Commemorate the ๐Ÿ’ฏth anniversary of the US route system here > https://www.usends.com/store ๐ŸŽ‚ In this photo, an open road beckons on a clear morning in western Nebraska. Approved in 1958, US 385 was a late-comer to the US route system. A different US 385 (in NM and TX) was commissioned along with the inaugural routes of 1926, but it lasted only until 1934 > https://www.usends.com/endpoints/us-80-us-89/85/385

Commemorate the ๐Ÿ’ฏth anniversary of the US route system here > https://www.usends.com/store ๐ŸŽ‚ US 34 reaches the highest elevation of any US route (12,183'). Not far from that high point, this view looks across Forest Canyon towards a mountain range that forms the Great Divide. The stakes visible in the foreground aid snow removal crews in identifying the edge of the road --> https://www.usends.com/endpoints/us-30-us-39/34

Commemorate the ๐Ÿ’ฏth anniversary of the US route system here --> https://www.usends.com/store ๐ŸŽ‚ This photo was looking east on 16th St. Historically this was US 80, as well as US 666, which continued right (south on Pan American Av) to the Mexico border crossing. Later US 666 was truncated to Pirtleville, and Pan American became Business Spur 666, but it was not connected to mainline 666. Same arrangement today with mainline US 191 and Business 191: they are non-contiguous. It's complicated --> https://www.usends.com/places/a-l/d-e/douglas
