After working all year to figure out a way to host an event in 2020, we are pleased to say that we'll be holding our annual dinner on Thursday, October 29th at the Lizton Lodge! Due to COVID-19, our overall capacity has been reduced so tickets are limited and the event will sell out.

2014 Waterfowl Breeding Population Survey
Breeding Duck Numbers Up 8 Percent
Abundant precipitation boosts breeding pair estimates again
The US Fish and Wildlife Service today released its report on 2014 Trends in Duck Breeding Populations, based on surveys conducted in May and early June. Total populations were estimated at 49.2 million breeding ducks in the surveyed area. This estimate represents an 8-percent increase from last year's estimate of 45.6 million birds, and is 43 percent higher than the 1955-2013 long-term average. This continues a three-year trend of exceptional water conditions and population numbers for many species.
It looks like another good waterfowl breeding year for a good portion of the prairies and the boreal forest," said DU CEO Dale Hall.

Indiana 2014 Gun Calendar Weeks 7 - 21 Drawing explanation.
The Indiana calendar raffle drawing follows the guidelines set by the Indiana Charitable Gaming Commission. These guidelines require the use of plain raffle tickets, numbered 000-999 to be drawn at one time for all 53 weeks of calendar year 2014. This drawing was conducted in December of 2013 at the Kokomo, Public Library. The numbered tickets 000-999 directly correspond to the numbers on each calendar in both sets of 1,000 calendars with the labeled prefixes DN or JB. The entry cards from the back of the calendar that the purchasers submitted are not used in the actual drawing. One winning number is drawn for each week and corresponds to both sets of calendars. If a numbered entry card from a sold calendar is not returned from either set of 1,000 calendars to the respective Regional Director for submission into the drawing that number is not eligible to win. If a calendar is not sold from either set of 1,000 calendars that number is not eligible to win. All unsold calendars and the respective firearm prize remains the property of Indiana Ducks Unlimited as stated in the rules section printed on the back of each calendar
