Paws & Think therapy dogs are back at Riley Hospital for Children spreading joy and comfort to patients, their family, and hospital staff. Our teams have really enjoyed their return to the hospital. With mental health continuing to decline due to the pandemic, our Animal-Assisted Interventions are helping increase a sense of stability.
Thanks to funding from The Tony Stewart Foundation and individuals like you, we are able to provide this service free of charge. In fact, all of our programs are free of charge. This is only possible because of the generosity of our community. It costs our organization a minimum of $500 annually to cover the costs associated with one therapy dog. This includes everything from training, supplies, insurance, volunteer oversight, and more. In order to continue providing these visits to children facing illnesses and to all of the 55,000 people we serve annually, we need your support.
