PA Spring Kickball game was a success! We had a great turnout and our clients had a lot of fun. The Girls vs. Boys game was the highlight of the day with the Girls team winning 16-14 (I see a rematch in our future). We also had a great turnout in providers. Thanks to all that helped participate to make this event happen. Thanks to FLOW Recreation LLC, Leisure 4 Life, Ferraro Behavior Services, North Node Wellness, Inc., Meaningful Day Services, Beyond Recreation and Spiece Fitness for letting us use their facility!
Jie Chen is an Indiana State University alum, a former intern at Meaningful Day Services and an Intern of the Year nominee!

Meaningful Day Services
Just wanted to give praise to the group that was at Atlantis Water Park today. I sat next to a few of the kiddos and their caretakers. I was very impressed with the attention and care that was given to the kids. My nephew is special needs, so I probably paid more attention to them than I should have. It was nice to see the kids being treated with love and care. Kuddos to the group of young ladies that was with these sweet kids today. Especially Sam, even tho he shook his head no when asked if he had fun. The smiles on his face told a different story ;)
Wanted to be sure everyone knows about this!
FYI!
Another business that recognizes those with special needs.

Lunch with this guy!

Our Employment Services assists clients in two capacities, through Pre-Vocational (Pre-Voc) and Vocational Rehabilitation (VR).
Both of these programs are designed to help individuals build skills that are driven toward employment goals and employment placement as the outcome.

Pre-Voc starts with the foundational fundamentals like workplace communication and attire as well as job roles and responsibilities in different employment settings like, clerical, retail, and restaurants.

Our VR clients benefit from community-based services that engage them in the VR processes that start in Discovery where they learn who they see themselves as an employee along with the strengths and interests they have to offer to an employer.

The VR journey can look different for each participant but the integrity of the process is one that the Employment Service department respects and knows the value of.

From Discovery to Stabilization the Employment Consultants guide the engagement of each participant as they learn and build their employment skill-set; help to them to identify employment goals; find their employment placement; and eventually reach their highest level of employment independence.
