It is important to teach our children that they have a voice at a very young age. While Americans participated in choosing our new president, we held our very own GOK school elections. Our future leaders stepped up to the plate to talk about how they would make an even better contribution to their classrooms. Isaiah and Joshua are both very strong candidates and we will keep you updated on the results!

Letting your child know that he or she is doing well can result in much better performance as they strive to receive the best feedback. It can also boost their confidence and have them become more thorough when completing tasks and assignments.

Acts of service is something that all children should participate and become aware of at a young age. It has a lasting, positive impact on the child and as a society at large. Even in these uncertain times we can still give from a place of kindness.

Summer is officially here! This a throwback of our children having some fun in the sun with sand and water.

When we designed our GOK Remote Learning Program, it was absolutely important for us to deliver, not only the dynamic materials and academic components of our curriculum, but also the enthusiasm that our students were accustomed to from our daily lessons at school. You may ask, how do we create an engaging, effective, and exciting curriculum that remains true to our mission without our children physically being in our presence? The events that have recently transpired within our community has caused us to reflect upon the continuous and unfortunate miscarriage of justice. We use this as a repeated motivator to serve our students and their families, as we pour out inclusive resources of education into our children to relentlessly strengthen our community. Juneteenth is a time to reflect and celebrate the efforts of striving for a greater and better tomorrow. We graciously honor the fight to freedom and we wish you all a beautiful and joyous Juneteenth!
