M2duO debuts a high-energy program blending Argentine tango, reimagined Japanese oldies, and original songs.

Celebrating 25 years of collaboration, M2duO—violinist Machiko Ozawa and pianist Makia Matsumura—reimagines Argentine tango through their signature interpretations of Japanese oldies and original compositions. Influenced by Astor Piazzolla, the duo’s sound reflects Ozawa’s international tango career and Matsumura’s improvisational work as a silent film accompanist.

Music And Tissue Paper Play:
Old First Nursery School (OFNS) is hosting a "Music and Family Fun" event at ShapeShifter Lab in Brooklyn on Saturday, May 9, 2026, at 10:00 AM.

This event brings the Park Slope community together for interactive music, designed for young children in a, popular local venue.

Ticket sales will benefit OFNS, NYC’s oldest co-op preschool! Hope to see you there!

Another wonderful project at SSL... the kind of connectivity and community presentations the world needs! Thank you Jazz + Draw.

Feels futile posting things of this nature when so much death, destruction, hate going around… but at the same time I suppose keeping the small things going where people can gather in peace and joy is valuable work.
