For the past 13 years, Mayfield Restaurant has been proud to call Crown Heights home. What started as a small neighborhood restaurant grew into a place where birthdays were celebrated, first dates happened, regulars became friends, and our community gathered around food.

Like so many small businesses, the COVID-19 pandemic hit us hard. We did everything we could to survive—pivoting, borrowing, stretching ourselves thin—because we believed in our restaurant and our neighborhood. While we’re incredibly grateful to have made it this far, the reality is that the financial damage from those years never fully healed.

After a long and difficult decision, we are closing Mayfield. We’re heartbroken, but we’re also exhausted. What we’re asking for help with is not to save the restaurant, but to help us walk away without being buried in debt from trying to do the right thing and keep our doors open.

The funds raised will go directly toward:
• Outstanding business debt accumulated during the pandemic
• Final operating costs and obligations
• Allowing us to close responsibly, without carrying this financial burden for years to come
