This year our Science Fair was amazing! Our students in elementary through middle school were able to share and discuss their projects with one another. We are proud of all our students, in particular those who are new to our school and worked on their first science project. Here are some of our 1st, 2nd, and 3rd grade winners. Please keep BRCA in your prayers for God’s provision. This week we suffered the loss of a substantial amount of books and curriculum. For those of you that are aware, Reading curriculums and DRA Kits (Developmental Reading Assessments) can be very costly. As a small school with a limited budget we purchase these materials/books with the minimal surplus we may have. Unfortunately, this loss hurts our school and most importantly our students. This is the second loss this year, as back in September we also lost Reading curriculum and independent reading books/materials due to the water damage caused by hurricane Ida. Our Story
Founded in 1984 Bay Ridge Christian Academy is a ministry of World Harvest Community Center. The vision of the school was birth in the heart of God and transmitted into the hearts of the founders the Reverend and Mrs. Luciano Padilla, Jr.
On September 1984, the doors of the Academy opened to educate children from diversified multicultural backgrounds from pre-kindergarten to the fifth grade. Gradually upper grades were implemented to what is now known as “The Bay Ridge Christian Academy”.
The Bay Ridge Christian Academy is a Christ-Centered and Bible-based school. The curriculum is standards based and there is Bible integration throughout all content areas. Our spiritual environment encourages your child to read and love God’s word, to experience a personal relationship with God, and to respect and serve others. Chapel services are conducted weekly where students are challenged further to know more about Christ. Likewise, students have the opportunity to engage in special events, competitions, or musical productions and assume leadership roles.
The special features noted by the Academy is our Computer Lab, Mobile Computer Lab, ipads, Google Chromes, Student Government, Peer Mediation, Performing Arts Club, Middle School Choir, Afterschool Program and Afterschool Music and Dance Instruction.”
