Hi. I attended Kingsborough from 1984-1986. While there, I was part of the dance program and performed in the stage shows. I was wondering if there is a way to find out if any of those shows were video taped and if yes, how could I go about getting copies of those videos? If anyone could advise me about this I would greatly appreciate it.

Registration is now open for the 16th Annual CUNY Black Male Initiative (BMI) Conference, titled: “Our State of Mind In the Era of COVID, Racial Injustice and Emotional Trauma, Now What?”

Featuring Distinguished Professor and Department Chair of African American Studies at Princeton University and MSNBC TV Contributing Correspondent Dr.Eddie Glaude Jr., and Host and Executive Producer of the award-winning HOT 97 show “STREET SOLDIERS WITH LISA EVERS" and FOX 5 News Reporter Lisa Evers as keynote speakers, the conference will discuss how Black and other populations' mental health and wellness have been impacted after a year and a half of COVID. With unprecedented levels of stress, emotional trauma, unemployment, misinformation, and fear of social proximity, what are the long-term effects. A host of esteemed panelist will also lead dramatic discussions focusing on the psychology of unlawful policing, the uncertain futures of current and incoming undocumented students, and what critical, emotional “next steps” will follow for the Black Lives Matter movement’s continued push for justice.

Last year, CUNY BMI broadcasted its first ever virtual conference due to the pandemic. This year, they've partnered with Kingsborough Community College, CUNY BMI’s Men’s Resource Center, and CUNY TV to launch the second virtual conference.

Registration is open now at https://tinyurl.com/CUNYBMI16THCONFERENCE

CUNY Will Stop Long-Held Practice of Holding Transcripts for Students with Outstanding Debt; Will Lift Financial Holds for Students Impacted by the Pandemic – CUNY Newswire

Effective immediately, Chancellor Félix V. Matos Rodríguez has suspended a long-held policy that bans CUNY schools from releasing the official transcripts of students and graduates who owe the University unpaid tuition and fees. He's also lifting financial holds on approximately 74,000 students who were enrolled during the semesters of the COVID-19 pandemic, so they can register for the fall 2021 semester even if they owe outstanding tuition and fee balances to CUNY. An Answer To Increasing Diversity At Selective Schools? Community College Transfer

Community college grads are ready & able. More C.C. transfer students complete their bachelor's degrees than those who entered directly from H.S. or transferred from another 4-year college! Read about one such success story: @CUNYkcc alum Dahlia Rodriguez (written by another @CUNYkcc alum, Nancy Sanchez). https://www-forbes-com.cdn.ampproject.org/c/s/www.forbes.com/sites/nancyleesanchez/2021/08/10/an-answer-to-increasing-diversity-at-selective-schools-community-college-transfer/amp/

An Answer To Increasing Diversity At Selective Schools? Community College Transfer The students transferring from community colleges are far more diverse than the college student body as a whole. In fact, nearly half of first generation college students get their start at community colleges, so overlooking this population misses a bulk of the potential pipeline for diverse talent.
