You never know who you’re going to meet when you step outside your comfort zone.
Recently, I met Dr. Mary and her team at a wellness event, and they were absolutely wonderful. We spent the day talking with people, sharing what we do, and helping others feel good about themselves in our own unique ways.
What I loved most was seeing how many women are out there building businesses with heart, purpose, and a genuine desire to make a difference.
So if you’re ever in Oyster Bay, give Dr Mary Infantino Phd, ANP, BC a follow and check out her practice. Tell her sent you.

Selling at markets isn’t just about selling jewelry, it’s also about meeting people and learning about them.
Recently, a customer taught me something I hadn’t thought much about before. During a conversation about earrings, she shared how certain backings can be difficult to see, hold, or put on for some people. It was such a simple moment, but it opened my eyes to a different experience and reminded me that accessibility can show up in ways we don’t always consider.
As a small business owner, I don’t know everything. In fact, some of my best lessons come from the people who stop by my table.
Every market, every conversation, and every customer teaches me something new about individuality, accessibility, and how to better serve the people who support my business.
That’s one of the reasons I love markets so much. They’re not just about selling.
They’re about connection.
And for that, I’m incredibly grateful. 💜
Sometimes the best thing we can do is listen.
Turning an empty table into a little piece of the Bodacious Bijous world. 🦋✨
There’s always a moment before every market when I look at a pile of boxes and wonder how it’s all going to come together.
Then the jewelry goes out, the colors come to life, and somehow it always feels like home.
The setup is half the adventure. What’s the first thing that catches your eye when you visit a market? What’s your favorite part of visiting a market?
I don’t know about you, but some of the things I’m most proud of in life are the things that didn’t come easy.
Not because I enjoyed the struggle.
But because the struggle showed me what I was capable of.
Looking back, there are challenges I wouldn’t choose to repeat, yet I wouldn’t be the same person without them.
Funny how life works like that.
What is something difficult that taught you an important lesson?

Of course I'm obsessed. 😂✨
It's shiny.
It's reversible.
I talk about it way too much.
But honestly? It was a labor of love created by me and my daughter, so I'd be worried if I wasn't obsessed. 💖
Which side would you wear first?

A recent market reminded me of this old video, so I had to bring it back. 😂
Some things never change…
Tell me your market personality:
👀 Just looking
🛍️ Here to shop
🍿 Here for the snacks
💬 Here to socialize
No judgment. I’m probably all four.

POV: You made it all the way out the door and something still feels… off. 🤔
Then you remember:
✨ The necklace.
✨ The earrings.
✨ The little detail that makes you feel like YOU.
Jewelry isn’t about being flashy. Sometimes it’s just that finishing touch that pulls everything together and gives you that extra bit of confidence before you walk out the door.
Tell me I’m not the only one who’s turned around halfway to the car because I forgot my jewelry. 😂💎

One of the things I love most about doing markets is getting to meet the people behind every purchase. Sometimes I get so caught up in setting up, helping customers, and enjoying the conversations that I forget to capture those special moments.
That’s why I’m especially grateful to Iris for taking a moment to share her experience with her Bodacious Zodiac Necklace. Like many of us (myself included!), being on camera isn’t always comfortable, but she was kind enough to do it anyway. I love connecting with my customers.
Thank you, Iris, for your support, your kindness, and for letting me share a little piece of your story with our community. 💖
It’s moments like these that remind me that it’s never just jewelry, it’s connection, confidence, and the stories we carry with us.
