Guys, I am not finding you on the Doordash site!!!!

As a first time customer I thought the food was good, the service was good. We were charged for an extra drink and oddly never signed a receipt when handing over our credit card. Sadly, we will not be back, I'm not in support of paying for your employees health care, if I was, then I would be their parent and would be claiming the server as a dependent. If you, Lemongrass, can't afford to pay a live-able wage and your portion of your employees healthcare as required by the state, then you should probably reduce the number of people you employ or pay them less- like the state wage, and they might get tips and you might be able to pay your share of their healthcare. Since tips are optional, I hope that you are letting your customers know this because your 15% surcharge is the tip or at least most of the tip, very sad for your servers. When I told your employee I am not interested in paying for your healthcare he kinda laughed it off, then when I said they must be paying you above federal minimum wage, and state wage; the employee laughed again. I can see from your FB page you actually do pay above both and yet your employee feels under paid still. That 15% must be working for your business because they all feel they are doing so well that they don't need to be tipped. I did learn that in the future I will not be supporting businesses that clearly can't afford to support their employees to provide them with the required healthcare they are responsible for doing. Maybe raising the prices will help you with that, maybe less is more when staffing, maybe refine your menus to limit loss on perishable items, maybe give your customer the necessary tax form to write off their server as a dependent. I hope the law suit brought to Blue Plate Restaurants will spark legislature to limit the amount your allowed to charge your customers when it comes to items not provided as a goods or service. depending if they add the surcharge before or after tax it ranges between 7 and 8 % which is excessive and ridiculous even during this pandemic! But like they say, buyer beware. After tonight I will certainly be doing my due diligence to look into this before I visit any restaurant. Thank you for the very interesting economic lesson. I have enough children, thank you, I don't want to support anymore.

Today is a very sad day. I have not been here in a couple of months. I used to eat here 3 times a week for a very long time when we lived up here. But today is a sad day....... no more number 9!??!!!???!!! This is the best place to eat ever, but one of my go to’s is gone. 8,9 basil wings large sticky rice and Tomka soup was out order. My world has shifted. Lol!! BTW we go to Lat 14 more often now because that is much closer to us. Thanks for listening. Haha!

However, plz note that we no longer offer the 4* or 5* (hot-hot options), so if you like things rly spicy, you may want to additionally request a spice rack or two! Furthermore, Thai food is naturally spicy and may include chili as a base, which for some is already spicy enough! 🌶🥵

Dear Lemongrass guests, patrons, regulars, and friends,

It is with a heavy, yet optimistic heart, that we have decided to close our dining room and transition to takeout only until further notice. We understand that this is disappointing, as change sometimes is, but taking this pause is an integral step to ensure the health and safety of our team, as well as upholding the guest experience that you know and love.

Our lovely and dedicated team continuously gives their all, recently being pushed to their limits and exhaustion, as we are unable to add more members to our team. We cannot continue to jeopardize the health of our team and know that this pause will allow us to come back better and stronger.

Thank you all for breathing life into Lemongrass for the past 17 years. Serving you has been a profound and meaningful pleasure. We look forward to seeing your faces within our walls again soon, but until then, be well, be kind, and take care.

Our kitchen will be open Wednesday-Sunday from 4:00pm-8:30pm for takeout. Although we will not be together under the same roof, we look forward to continuing to craft beautiful and delicious meals for you, your family, and your loved ones to enjoy at home.

Folded Cranes.
When you come into our space, you will surely find a few folded cranes out & about!

When Chef Ann was pregnant, she folded 1,000 cranes, for each kid! That’s 2,000 cranes! She then did it a few years later for a birthday party!

According to legend, folding 1000 origami cranes results in a wish. It's said that each folded piece represents a year of the crane's life and when someone completes all 1000, the sacred crane grants their wish. Through the years thousands of people have taken on this challenge to wish for love, health, or fortune!
