Sharing a quick glimpse of what I am playing with this Sunday... what have you been creating??

The studio door got a little make over! I have a feeling this will be an ever evolving piece of art, but Iâm super in love with it right nowđ

Back at it! Did some major cleaning and rearranging in the studio today and now I am ending the day with some painting fun... nothing in mind, just putting paint down and we will see what happens. Welcome summer!

Art is a drug! So if you are going to do art, wear art! Www.whodoo.me

28 February Flowers day 4. I only had a few minutes today, so I found a messy background in my art journal that I had done with fluid acrylics. I used this as my foundation and added oil pastel flowers and leaves in a very abstract style. The point of an art journal is just to create, not necessarily for the finished product, just to create! I really like the colors here and oil pastels are always fun!

Day 2 of 28 February Flowers! Today was all about putting away all the winter decorations and getting out the springy stuff!

Hey creative friends!! One of my favorite artists, Amanda Evanston (go check her out!), is hosting a 28 day challenge through February, to post a floral creation every day as a way to fight the end of winter blues. Iâm going to try to join in and would love if you post your creations in the comments (floral or not). Letâs create our way through February! Hereâs my first. Some wacky tulips that I am pretty excited about. Going to hang this up tomorrow after I finally take the rest of the Christmas/winter decorations down!

Tonightâs creative play: alcohol inks. Lots to learn! Lesson #1- wear gloves đ

Follow up on yesterdayâs post. This is the lettering book I am using for practice. And these are the pens I was playing with today. May I point you to Tracy Signer and Tracy's heart studio for lettering classes. That is where I started.

Happy New Year studio friends!! No New Yearâs resolutions here, but I have made a promise to myself to do something creating EVERY day! Todayâs creative thing is some brush letter practice. Do you have a word of the year? Mine is âCelebrate!â Put your word of the year in the comments and I will practice my lettering with it.

Emma and I leave VERY early Tuesday morning for Haiti. What am I doing instead of packing? Weâll just call this art therapy...

A different kind of painting today! Painting the ceiling and walls in my new sun porch. Iâm using all white, which is not my norm!!! Looking forward to using this space on cold winter days. What have you been creating!?!?
I took Hope in Hand on the road to Evansville tonight. A lovely evening teaching stamped metal jewelry. It was a much needed creative break!

Man it has been hard to find time to be in the studio lately! I have been having dreams about painting and my heart has been longing to get messy! Tonight, I finally carved out some time to make a mess! Working on âchaos layersâ that will be the background of paintings to come! What have been creating? Please share in the comments!

Happy Friday!!! What did you create this week?? Last night I took my baby sister to Bay View Printing Company in Milwaukee for a printing night. We had so much fun!! We both said we could feel the serotonin pumping through our veins! Creativity does that for me. How about you?

Show and Tell is Back!!!! Letâs see what you have been creating! I have spent a lot of time practicing painting flowers this summer. These are all at various degrees of not finished yet. Such fun!!

Heather, Patrick, and Iris won a mixed media workshop from our libraryâs summer reading program. It is always so much fun to see each personâs personality shine through in what they create.

Itâs no secret that I love flowers! Making flower arrangements with flowers and herbs fresh from my yard is one of my favorite ways to be creative. How are you using your creativity this summer? Share in the comments đ

This weeks creativity was in partnership with my favorite boy,,Zion. He is ready for a minor room makeover and we started with this dresser from St. Vincentâs thrift store. He wanted chalkboard paint so he can write on the sides, and multi-colored polka dots. I think it turned out pretty great! What have you been creating?!?

Still Creating on vacation! Trying to decide what supplies to pack is always a challenge. Trying not to bring tooooo many pretty rocks home with me đ What have you been creating?

Happy July!! What are you creating? I have been doing lots of gardening, a little sewing, and some painting. It has been a pretty creative summer so far! My show and tell is my newest flower painting.

Cutest studio helper!

This morning a friend and I took a class at Brass Tacks in Sun Prairie and learned how to make these embossed copper feathers. So much fun! What have you been creating?

Iâm back!! We survived May and another school year is done. Hurray!!! Instead of stressing about posting Show and Tell every Friday, I am just going to aim for the weekend and invite you all to share whenever you would like. Creativity is healing and life giving and we all could use a little of that â¤ď¸. Today Iâm sharing a glimpse of some flower paintings I am working on through a class by artist Amanda Evanston.

A new spot to sit and enjoy right outside the studio. Polka Dot pots from last nightâs craft night at the library. Ready for summer!
Iâm still here! May is just very busy and I have given myself permission to take a little studio break so I can focus on other thingsâ¤ď¸

Happy Finally Feels Like Spring Friday!!! What have you been creating? My show and tell this week is a sample painted pot for an upcoming craft night at the Brodhead library.

Happy Friday!! Show and Tell is early today because I was wide awake at 4:30 a.m. so headed out to the studio and worked on fabric flower samples for tomorrowâs workshop (there is still space, if youâd like to join us!). What have you been creating?

Itâs a perfect night to curl up in front of a movie and work on a project! My friend Keri Mertens taught me how to make a braided rug today. Itâs show and Tell Friday, what have you been creating?!

Pretend this is Friday... happy Show and Tell Saturday! I spent a wonderful chunk of my day helping my friend celebrate her birthday with a mixed media canvas workshop. What have you been creating??
Our March prize winner is...

Happy Friday creative friends! I will be doing the monthly show and Tell prize drawing on Monday, so you still have a chance to participate for this month. What have you been creating? Todayâs creativity was all about Easter cookies and eggs!
