I almost walked past this. I am so glad I didn’t.
The Robert Lange Studios in Charleston — named one of the best things to do in Charleston by Condé Nast Traveler.
When you walk through that door something shifts.
There is a swing in the middle of the gallery. Art on every wall. And a man who built all of it around one idea I have not stopped thinking about.
I asked Robert two questions.
What would you share with your younger self? And what are you grateful for right now?
His answers are in the video.
📌 Save this for the day you need a reminder that some things are worth the walk.
✨ LetSoul Life Series — real people, real wisdom, real gratitude. No scripts. No filters. Just truth.

She did everything right.
Every morning. Three things. Thirty days straight.
And she still felt stuck.
What nobody told her — and what took me years at the bedside to fully understand — is that there are two completely different things happening when women journal for gratitude.
One of them changes nothing.
The other changes your brain.
Most women are doing the first one.
In this video, I explain in the final thirty seconds is the thing that makes the difference between journaling that feels like a chore and journaling that actually transforms how you experience your life.
What at the end the last part is the most important.
Share this with a friend who needs this.
Hey mama. Just landed. About to be home soon.
It’s easy to heart or like this message and simply move on.
So easy.
One notification among dozens. A few words between meetings. A moment that could have disappeared into the noise of an ordinary day without leaving a single trace.
We live in a world that is very good at making the most important things feel small.
The text from your child.
The coffee that was finally hot.
The moment someone held the door and looked you in the eye.
These are not small things.
But we are moving so fast that we have lost the ability to feel their weight.
Your journal is not just a place to reflect. It is a place to catch what life is trying to hand you before you accidentally drop it.
And here is what I know after 30 years at the bedside — the women who learn to notice these moments do not just remember more. They build more of them.
Because what you acknowledge, you begin to seek. And what you seek, you begin to create.
Save this as a reminder to tune into your life.
“Don’t let your worth live in someone else’s hands.”
said this without hesitation.
And I think most of us need to hear that.

I asked her two questions.
One thing she would share with her younger self.
And one thing she is grateful for right now.
Her answer to the second question is what I want you to stay for.
📌 Save this for the day you forget whose hands your worth belongs in.

I know how that feels — because I was one of them.
We did everything right. The affirmations. The gratitude checklist. The positive mindset work.
And we still felt stuck.
There is a reason for that — and it has nothing to do with how hard we tried.
It has everything to do with what chronic stress does to three specific parts of your brain.
Watch this to the end. What I share in this video changed how I practice — and it will change how you understand yourself.
📌 Save this for the woman in your life who is trying so hard and still feels like she is failing.
May gave me this.
A symphony in Charleston. A moon over a palmetto. And a friend, , who works long shifts and still made time to show up.
We stood under the southern sky — immersed in live music, in friendship, in a night that reminded us why the hours matter.
I carry a lot. So does she. So do you.
And yet — this happened. We made it happen. Because the moments don’t save themselves.
Write down what May gave you before June takes it.

you were majestic 🥰🙏
I have sat with patients during the most critical moments of their lives. 💛
At the edge of life and death, you learn what actually matters.
And what I witnessed over and over — in the most honest moments — was not just physical pain.
It was the damage women had done to themselves with their own inner voice. For decades. Without anyone ever telling them to stop.
Neuroscience is clear: chronic self-criticism keeps the nervous system in a state of threat. It elevates cortisol. It suppresses immune function. It physically hurts.
The woman who never felt good enough.
The woman who apologized for existing.
The woman who was unsure if she shold or shold have not said something.
The woman who gave everything to everyone and saved nothing for herself.
I have held space for “her” more times than I can count.
You would never say to your best friend what you say to yourself at the end of a hard day.
Gratitude — real, practiced, written down — is one of the most evidence-based ways to interrupt that cycle.
Not by pretending everything is fine. By deliberately building evidence that you are also worthy of kindness. Repeat - deliberately building evidence you are worthy.
Starting with yourself. 💛

Three years ago I chose peace. 💛
Not just in a person — but in myself.
Second chances have a way of teaching you what you actually need versus what you thought you wanted.
I spent years being strong for everyone else. He was the first person who made me feel like I did not have to be. 🥰
Gratitude looks like this moment. This view. This man.
Happy Anniversary
Today we pause. 🤍
Thirty years in healthcare taught me that sacrifice looks different up close. I have held the hands of veterans. I have seen what service costs.
Gratitude is not just a practice for the good days. It is how we honor the people who made the good days possible.
To every family who gave someone they loved — thank you. We do not forget. 💛
Happy Memorial Day.
You don’t get to rewind the hard chapters. You don’t get to pause when it gets heavy. All you get is now.
I spent years moving so fast through my own life that I stopped actually living it. Gratitude journaling didn’t slow time — but it taught me how to be inside it.
That’s what LetSoul is built for. Not productivity. Presence.
