It's been a while since I last revisited some of my old favorites. I love seeing these designs and colors come to life again.
My Story
I have been tying knots since I was a little girl. We all have! It is one of the first independent things we learn how to do when we learn how to tie our shoes. I began practicing macrame as a way to display my obsession with plants. It quickly revealed a deeper use to me as a meditation tool to clear my head from the daily clutter. There's something very soothing about the repetitive quality of tying knots and the feeling of the cord in your hands. I find myself getting lost in the process and the end result is something lovely that brings you joy or you can share with someone else.
The simple knot is evident in all our lives. It is in everything and everywhere from day one when our umbilical cord is tied to the symbolic love knots that bind us together in our lives.
