You can do “chunky” without being “stripey”

Make sure to variegate between different amounts of slices and weaves to achieve variety in your finished look. Sometimes super symmetrical stripes are too harsh for the client and having that variety in the width of your highs and lows makes all the difference !

During the summer , it’s typical for hair color to get washed out and lightened from the rays and the water. When that happens , sometimes it’s best to start over ! Go in with a new base color and revamp the highlights ! Just enough of somethin somethin !

Caramel highlights to bring balance back to her hair

Feelin’ peachy🍑

We took her from level 6 red/brown roots with lowlights and highlights to an all over peach with pastel pink pieces melted in. Love love LOVE this !

4 hour session
Multiple steps involved
But the final over all peach base was redone shades eq pastel pink and pastel peach
Then overlayed pieces of pulp riot desert sky & joico soft pink diluted with conditioner.

Hit stubborn areas afterwards with SA rapid toner

I usually stick to hair on my page , but this is something I can’t go without saying. This morning we had to say good bye to my sweet girl of 16+ years. Watching her decline over these past few days has been heartbreaking and I’m devastated to lose her. Even with all that time… it still wasn’t enough. I’m grateful I was able to help her cross peacefully in our home where I could hold her and pet her and say goodbye. Thank you for being a loyal companion and loving friend all of these years. I love you fiercely Allura ! See you again one day 🌈❤️

I’m telling y’all … block coloring is making a comeback in 2024 and I’m HERE FOR IT ! On this client , I used an off center starburst around the side parting area to create a variegated “highlighted” look without looking like foils. I used her new base color as the new root color for the accent color also to create a melted effect.

All Kenra color , base is 4n + 4a 15 vol at root , 10 vol ends
Accent color is 7bc + 7r 15 vol

From faded out caramel to rich ribbons of honey 🍯
Spring will be here before you know it ! Time to start getting brighter!
