The Meade Co. Civil War Heritage Committee would like to thank all those individuals who made the event possible. A huge THANK YOU to the reenactors who traveled and camped out in the heat and pouring rain, the spectators who braved the heat, rain and parking, to the City Workers who handled all the logistics and keep our parks in such good condition, the City Police and Citizens on Patrol who kept everyone safe, the Moose Lodge for cooking up a delicious breakfast for the reenactors, the Arts Council who sponsored our concerts, Meade County Tourism who provided the sound for the concerts, the businesses and sponsors who donated and gave discounts to make the event possible, and to anyone else that we left off the list! We couldn't do this without your help!

FRESH CUT GRASS @ The Buffalo Bluegrass Festival, 9 - 14 - 14

July 9th at 8 p.m. Fresh Cut Grass will be live at the Brandenburg Ampitheater. Fresh Cut Grass is a Louisville, Kentucky- based bluegrass group made up of guitar, mandolin, banjo, fiddle and upright bass. With one foot planted firmly in the past and the other looking toward the future, Fresh Cut Grass has been entertaining audiences since 1995. Known for tight vocal harmonies, from solo vocals to rich four-part gospel quartets, these musicians spend many hours getting their harmonies just right.

Live music returns to the Riverfront! July 9th Cull Hollow takes the stage at 6 p.m. Cull Hollow performs as a bluegrass duo playing bluegrass music, with folk songs, acoustic jazz pieces and original music. Food trucks on site so bring a chair or blanket and have a picnic while you listen!

Whiskey Bent Valley Boys has an injured member so our July 9th band will be Fresh Cut Grass. They will playing bluegrass from 8-9:45 p.m. Cull Hollow will still be opening for them from 6-7:30 p.m. Food trucks on site so come out for dinner and stay for the show!
