Pest One

🌳 Healthy Trees Start with Healthy Soil!

Trees need more than just water and sunshine to thrive—they also need the right nutrients in the soil.

At Pest 1 – Tree & Plant Health, our soil amendment treatments help replenish important nutrients and improve the soil around your trees, making those nutrients available for the roots to absorb.

Healthy soil can help support:
🌱 Stronger root development
🌳 Healthy, vigorous growth
🍃 Improved leaf color and density
💪 Better resilience to environmental stress
🛡️ Overall long-term tree health

Fall is a great time to focus on what’s happening below the surface. Give your trees the foundation they need for healthier growth next season.

Sometimes a forgotten pollinator!

💞 A Loveliness 💞

🐞

This lady beetle is likely a Multicolored Asian lady beetle
The bright yellow-orange objects directly below the beetle are its egg cluster, typically laid in groups of about a dozen. We are seeing an up tick in the lady bug activity in the valley.
While invasive in many regions, they are beneficial insects that voraciously consume aphids and scale insects, often eating up to 50 aphids a day. If you are noticing a lot of “lady bugs” check your trees/shrubs for aphids activity or give us a call. 🌲

The wasp and hornet activity is getting busy. Keep an eye on your peaks and under your eaves for nest start activity. We can handle the rest. 406-589-7887

FUN FACTS: Insect Architects: Paper wasps create impressive, water-resistant nests by chewing up wood and mixing it with their saliva to create a paper-mâché material
