Bozeman Attempted Homicide Arrests 🚨

Two Park County residents were arrested in connection with an attempted murder outside Lucky Lil’s Casino in Bozeman.

The Allegations:

• Kyhl Todd Lorenzen, 24 (Emigrant): Stabbed a man during an altercation outside the casino. Arrested with a folding knife containing blood and 22.1 grams of methamphetamine. Faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including attempted deliberate homicide, possession of dangerous drugs, burglary, and vandalism.

• Summer Ann Overgaauw, 41 (Clyde Park): Allegedly tried to run over the same man with a minivan. Charged with attempted deliberate homicide, misdemeanor theft, and drug paraphernalia possession.

Incident Details:
• The altercation reportedly began inside the casino and continued outside.
• Surveillance shows a brief chase and a near-miss with a vehicle.
• Both suspects were interviewed and read their Miranda rights.

Additional Context:
• Overgaauw has prior involvement as a witness in a 2022 homicide case in Park County.
• Both suspects remain in the Gallatin County Jail as the investigation continues.

Bozeman I-90E Crash - October 22 🚨

A tragic crash near mile marker 311 resulted in one fatality after a driver admitted to checking their email while driving.

📍 What Happened:
• Four vehicles were involved: a Peterbilt truck, Volkswagen Golf, Subaru Ascent, and Ford Explorer.
• Vehicles were slowing for a construction zone; the Peterbilt didn’t slow and rear-ended the Volkswagen, pushing multiple cars off the road.
• Sadly, the Volkswagen driver from Bozeman was pronounced dead at the scene.
• All other drivers and passengers were wearing seatbelts and escaped without injury.

⚠️ Takeaway: Distracted driving can be deadly. Always focus on the road, texting or checking emails while driving puts everyone at risk.
