Persephone Rising Rituals

Art from the book “flowering woman, moontime for Kory” a story of a girls rites of passage into womanhood. I (Rebecca) was really lucky that I had a ceremony welcoming me into womanhood. I know the power and wisdom within my cycle. I am proud of it and the ability to create life. This cycle is a reminder of my strength and capability to do, be, see whatever I desire. What a different world it would be if every single girl, instead of being ashamed and embarrassed, was lifted up and welcomed into the wisdom of their moon phase!

I have always tried hard to find joy in the mundane. Life, especially one without many ceremonies and rituals, can seem “less than”. Especially with all the bright visuals of everyone else’s joys and accomplishments at a fingers swipe. Just waiting to compare ourselves to everyone’s happy reel. If we can find joy and contentment in the simple things of life and stop wanting for more and more, we can find our own happy reel.

When women gather and dance bare feet on the earth...magic happens!

Our souls ache from traumas done to us or our feminine ancestors. We know pain. We know struggle. But the choice is ours to embrace the beauty. To choose lightness and joy over the things that would try and diminish our fire/light/power/joy. The strength we possess individually is fierce, but the strength we have when we gather together and roar our beautiful roars is unstoppable. Feminine energy has always been so powerful and beautiful and true.

As mothers, sisters, daughters and friends we have always gathered and celebrated each other. It is our nature to gather. To laugh and sing and dance and bring beauty into a sometimes colorless world.
