THE HARD RICHARDS

Had a request for the lyrics to "caught on the inside" its a little ballad of surfing and growing up here in south Florida. A follow up to our 1996 hit " Dog Beach dub" of sorts, So here they are:

From the d.o.g. to the L dub pier, dont paddle out if your not from here. Let me make the message loud and clear, you're better sitting in the beach with a beer.
6 foot swells with offshore winds, ropes at dog go of the chains,southend of BP does the same, outside inlets freaking insane.
Lantana public with the rich at the Ritz, walk a little north Hawaiian style pits. Lake worth piers no place for kids.. homie the clown is gonna get pi**ed. Manalapan pointe but there's no where to park, on a good swell its worth the walk. One could say the same of cave rock, if you know the spot just dont get caught.

The wave breaks here, dont be there, as the sets stack up your gotta be aware. When the time is right, paddle for your life. Cause the last thing that you want, is to be caught on the inside.

Sets coming and there's no way out, ditch your stick and swim down,dont stop till you reach the ground get back up before your drown. Take a breath and again you dive hope to god that you survive, you just got caught, caught on the inside.

Category 5 out in the Atlantic, stores all closed, widespread panic, not for us its like we planned it, a huge wind swell, beaches abandoned. No one in sight,except for the cops. Trying to stop the zombies with their road blocks. Bridges are closed gates are locked, we're out surfing we cant be stopped.
Winter down south
Its a different game, snowbirds invade thinking that their great. Just trying to find a parking space, when you find a spot you can bet you're paying.
But the nor'easter has a different plan, swells are pumping , NOT the Situations hands, giant left barrels have graced these sands, Just make the drop or get caught again...
