🏅 Our Sunset Trail Running Festival medal is nothing short of spectacular.

Inspired by the breathtaking landscapes of Gold Hill, Colorado, the medal captures the magic of trail running in the Rocky Mountains. The centrepiece features a runner silhouetted against a stunning mountain sunset, with golden light spilling across rugged peaks, pine forests and historic mining structures that pay homage to Gold Hill’s rich heritage.

The vibrant ribbon is equally impressive, showcasing dramatic canyon walls and alpine scenery in deep purples and fiery oranges that perfectly reflect the colours of a Colorado sunset. Every detail has been thoughtfully designed to evoke adventure, exploration and the sense of accomplishment that comes from conquering mountain trails.

This isn’t just a finisher medal, it’s a keepsake. A piece of art that tells the story of an unforgettable day on the trails and serves as a lasting reminder of the challenge, beauty and spirit of the Sunset Trail Running Festival.

On Sunday June 21st, runners won’t just earn a medal. They’ll earn a symbol of their journey through one of Colorado’s most stunning mountain landscapes. 🌄🏃‍♀️⛰️

Bold. Beautiful. Uniquely Colorado. A medal worthy of every mile.

Tucked high above Boulder, Gold Hill is the kind of place runners dream about but rarely find.

Surrounded by the winding climbs of Sunshine Canyon, the quiet grit of Salina Road, and the rolling, historic flow of the Switzerland Trail, it’s a high-altitude playground where every run feels like an adventure.

This isn’t polished or crowded. It’s dirt roads, pine air, and big mountain views. Long climbs that test you, descents that free you up, and miles of trail where you might not see another person; but you’ll remember every step.

Gold Hill isn’t just a run.
It’s where you go when you want your legs to work, your lungs to burn, and your head to clear.

If you’re a runner, it’s not optional. It’s a must!
