Made with a spectacular Guatemalan blue Jadeite; one of my favorite types of jade to work with.

Ultra translucent deep blues with a touch of that brilliant yellow iron oxide.

The yellow comes from a layer of rust as the iron in the outer rind of the stone oxidizes and pulls out traces of water from the gemstone itself.

I love working with the jade that close to the rind because you never know how the textures and colors will look. Guatemala blue tends to give off a vibrant sun yellow color to which i enjoy working with.

She's not quite finished yet. Much more detailing work to go but ill have her on a ceremonial shaft when she is.

Black Wyoming Nephrite Jade with a Dark Olive Iridescence

Civilizations come and go yet the spirit of the human race is enduring. Perhaps our greatest trait.

A simple totem of the ancient ways when this tool was our ancestors way of bringing the hunt to the hearth of home.

It meant not only survival but as a tribe, would provide enough bounty to alleviate the woes of survival and leave some room for the conjugation of men and women to plan something greater.

The virtue of providence declares that one must have the foresight to envision the challenges of the world while simultaneously acting to prepare and provide solutions for them in accordance with necessity.

The mind imagines as our hearts believe and it is the hands as an extension of this belief which grinds the stone to a keen edge.

This arrowhead is a reminder of what it has taken to come this far.

The arrowhead is a symbol of mankinds ingenuity.
The intelect of our minds to conceive such an item.
The belief in our hearts to shape it.
And the might of our Will to throw the spear.

Dark Olive Wyoming Nephrite Jade.

Wrapped into a pendant and, in a pinch, could serve a practical function if you needed it to. Jade is a tough gemstone although much heavier than traditional obsidian or agate and not as sharp.

I love working this design and there is many more to come!

These hand carved power totems are a wonder.

The key is to resonate into the stone until the raw gives way to shape. Everytime i craft a ring for someone, i get a clue about some nature of their character that wishes to be imprinted into the design of the ring.

As the creator, this is not merely a peice of jewelry, but a hand carved power totem that will reflect its wonder upon the world for generations.

I think about the Ring of Luxor found in the tombs of Egypt. Millennia old stone ring worn on the mummified finger of an almost forgotten pharaoh. Only to be rediscovered by modernity as a most coveted artifact.

We will not live long enough to see all that these rings will witness and there is something truly mystifying about this sentiment to me.

I hope to share these with those who understand this legacy in the making.

Guatemalan Blue & Wyoming Apple Green

The gold in the Guatemalan peices comes from the polished remnants of the outer rind. Iron forms around the jade which slowly pulls out the traces of water from within the gemstone; creating iron oxide rust which forms into the intricate gold clouds that appear in the surface of the jade.
