Meet another one of our kid vendors!
"Denahi Mcfarlane, age 10, owner and creator of a neighborhood farm stand. She has been in business for 2 years - starting with three chickens and a folding chair, shouting "eggs!" At people as they drove by for hours. Eventually I had to laugh and let her know she needed a better marketing pitch as shouting "eggs!" at people could in fact, make them nervous while driving. Surprised by this, she said "mama, I need a store!". And so we made is so. She now has 13 chickens that she takes care of with very little help, sells and bakes goods like cookies and cake pops, sells eggs to pay for her chickens feed, makes homemade soaps and bath salts, garden stakes, homemade mosquito repellent she makes 100% from the garden she tends from fresh herbs, grows and sells flowers, and many many more things. She wakes up early every morning to get her shop open and her chickens cared for and puts it all away every night. The community loves coming by to feed the chickens and she loves hearing how excited people are by what she has displayed. She is located at 14610 47th pl w Lynnwood WA. One day she dreams of having a farm with many more animals and a horse, of course! She's on her way!"
