5 things I wish someone told me 🫛
Here’s the truth 👇
1️⃣: Protect your muscle ( IMPORTANT )
Muscle isn’t just about looking toned. It plays a HUGE role in insulin sensitivity, bone health, strength, and even how your skin looks. Maintaining muscle is one of the most powerful anti-aging tools and protecting it a building it is key.
2️⃣: Fuel your body properly
Eating less might happen on a GL🫛, but that doesn’t mean your body needs less nutrition. Protein intake, water and carbs all matter. If you don’t eat enough while on a GLP-1, you could feel drained and sluggish. Your body needs real energy to function, not just to get by.
3️⃣: Cut back on sugar
Sugary drinks and snacks will not do you any favors here. Fancy coffee drinks, soda, and cocktails can make you feel worse, not better. If you’re grabbing coffee, stick to lower-sugar options. And ditching soda altogether is one of the simplest upgrades you can make. Hard for me as well because I know my diet cokes.
4️⃣: This is a long game
Fast number drops might sound great, but it often comes with downsides like muscle loss, loose skin, and nutrient deficiencies. Slow, steady progress is where real results happen. I am a big believer that you eat as much protein as your body weighs.
If it feels slow at first, that’s completely normal. Consistency is what actually gets you there.
