Happy Mother’s Day to all of the wonderful mothers in our lives! From our own to grandmothers to friends and even strangers. We would not be here without mothers, and we definitely would not have our lineage linking us. We have mothers to thank for the revolution!

A Chapter Regent’s Work is Never Done!

Today marks the anniversary of the Paris agreement on climate change. May we all put our best foot forward to keeping our home beautiful!

What do you like to do to help Mother Earth?

This Saturday, we held our annual awards brunch! We use this day to celebrate our Good Citizen and J/ROTC Medal winners with a some speeches and a good meal! This year, we are awarding 3 ROTC Cadets, 2 JROTC cadets, and 1 Good Citizen. We also welcomed Emily Byrer from the Paul Revere Chapter to join us in a joint Gold ROTC Medal for one ROTC Midshipmen!

April marks the Move More Month - Increase your physical activity and awareness! I have started working on taking the stairs more often and doing my PT regularly.

Take the time to move, wiggle, and dance for your health and happiness!

Happy Birthday to our 60th Regent, Rachel Trousdale! We dedicate this day to celebrating you and all you have (and will) accomplish within the DAR and within life itself. You are a strong mother of two, a wonderful wife, and (above all else) an amazing, intelligent woman who cares about those around her with her whole spirit.

She was the one who made the wonderful connection that she was born only 5 days after our Organizing Regent, Anna Davis von Rydingsvard, who created the Boston Tea Party Chapter in 1895! Mrs. Rydingsvard was born March 20th, 1856. That’s 170 years and 5 days apart! They are both exemplary women who make a mark on the DAR and will continue to do so.
