In May 1998 Ziff Davis publishing launched a new television network dedicated to computers and technology. ZDTV would eventually become Tech TV, and then merge with G4 Network in the 2000's. ZDTV had shows like Call For Help , where viewers could call in with their Tech related questions , tech review shows such as Fresh Gear, and video game show GameSpot TV. GameSpot TV would morph over the years with the network to become one of its most popular shows, X-Play.
