Here’s a clip of the jolly and buoyant fourth movement of Schubert’s Piano Trio No.1 in B-flat major, Op.99 D.898 from our Schneider Concert in December. We are delighted to present this piece along with Shostakovich’s Piano Trio No.2 in E minor, Op.67 tonight at the Harvard Music Association at 7:30pm!

“different gravities” has become a Trio Eris staple throughout the past year — we’re ecstatic to share the textured landscapes of this piece in NYC tomorrow 🤩 Come join us at the New School Auditorium, tomorrow Sunday 12/7 at 2PM for a fresh program we’re beyond excited to present, including the heartfelt romanticism of F***y Mendelssohn’s underplayed piano trio in D minor, as well as Schubert’s brilliant B-flat Major trio, a pinnacle of the repertoire!

We will be opening tonight’s concert in Jordan Hall at 7:30pm, featuring the chamber music of Gunther Schuller! The third movement of his piano trio (III. With Swing) is a short and jazzy movement with a constant walking double bass line, with improvisational figures/licks, cool groove and swing, and imagery of a jazz bar. Come finger snap and foot tap with us😉🎷Ives 2nd movement to be followed!

Happy hot summer!🥵🌴Reflecting on our trip to Virginia in the Spring🌷—
Thank you for bringing us to Virginia to work with wonderfully inspired and open-minded students, and thank you to for having us as artists in residence! We had an incredibly time sharing music with young audiences, teaching and coaching orchestra/chamber groups, and answering fun Q and A’s. Students and teachers in public schools of Norfolk Virginia, we miss you!🫶
