A true honor that takes the audience award as Winner of best short film at the first ever Film Fest this past weekend! Inspiring to be amongst such a talented group of filmmakers and artists and beyond touched at the number of people who stated how moved they were watching the film. A true honor.

will be available online for public viewing soon. But before it does, you should know that it also won some awards that we are very proud of! As it should. The story of Babar and Haris Suleman continues to touch so many people today. No doubt they left a legacy and have changed the lives of so many impoverished children who might not have had the access to education. This is the spirit by which they led their lives. They are the true winners. But it's a delight to know that some in the film industry awarded the film too.

A delightful time at the UTOPIA FILM FESTIVAL in historic Greenbelt particiapting and watching many insightful films at the Old Greenbelt Theatre (built in 1938!). Always a joy watching your film on the big screen: here it was my short film Third Base to Faith. Followed by a conversation over coffee with the incredibly thoughtful and gracious festival director Chris Haley.

How exciting that takes the Jury Award for documentaries at the DCSAFF ! What an honor and how special to watch it on the big screen. But, any praise really belongs to the subjects themselves in the film, who live this story and are the true inspiration.
