Corporate partners choose GoodVision because the mission speaks for itself.

"GoodVision's approach as a vision charity has always been sustainable, innovative, and efficient. Their concept is brilliant - and it's because of all this that I've been a long-term partner of GoodVision USA." — Michael, Corporate Partner, Edmonton, AB

Brilliant concepts change more than sight. They change communities.

Sahil's story: A second chance to see childhood clearly 05/21/2026

For 10 years, Sahil Sethy tilted his head every time he tried to read. His teachers noticed. His parents noticed. But without access to affordable care, there was nothing anyone could do. Sahil had never had an eye exam.

When GoodVision ran a free school screening at his school in Bhubaneswar, India, that changed. The team found cataracts in his left eye from an accident years earlier. He was referred for surgery within days.

Today, Sahil reads from the blackboard without effort. He attends a free vision school where his brain is relearning how to use both eyes together. His teachers say he seems more relaxed, more engaged, and more like himself.

The World Health Organization (WHO) featured Sahil's story as part of its Vision and Eye Care Programme. It's the second time the WHO has highlighted GoodVision's work, and we couldn't be prouder of the team in India.

Making Global Impact Part of Everyday Practice: GoodVision USA Do more for those in need without adding to your day-to-day operations

The $1 Visionary 04/28/2026

What started in a basement in Germany has grown into a global movement. A math teacher read that hundreds of millions of people could not afford glasses and decided to do something about it. The result? A pair of glasses made from flexible wire and shatterproof lenses that can be produced without electricity, costs about a dollar, and has now reached over a million people in 11 countries. That teacher is Martin Aufmuth, and that organization is GoodVision.

The $1 Visionary Realizing that glasses could transform millions of lives, a teacher created an incredibly cheap, durable pair. Now, they’re all over the world.

Two friends. Same village. Same problem. Same solution.

Fula (62) and Fula (61), neighbors from Benora village in Nabarangpur, both struggled with blurry distance vision. Every day they walked into the forest together to collect wood. Poor sight made the paths harder to navigate and the work less safe.

Care Netram came to their Panchayat. Both women got their eyes checked and received glasses the same day. Now they walk the forest paths together and they can see every step clearly.

Maria's story is real. The $1 mechanism is real. The founding members are real. And the advisors who helped build this movement are people you know.

The GoodVision Alliance is open — and we're looking for practices that believe clear vision should be accessible to everyone, everywhere.

If that's you, this is your moment.

Applications are open. Join the movement: https://goodvisionusa.org/alliance/

Rita, 31, from Jamshedpur supports her family through sewing. For months, threading the needle had become nearly impossible as her vision grew blurry after just a few hours of work.

When Care Netram came to her village with a free eye screening camp, she finally got answers and glasses. The moment she put them on, she threaded the needle on the first try.

That is what 7,000 pairs of glasses in March looks like. Thousands of moments just like Rita's.
