This weekend is the , which aims to show the natural biodiversity we can have even in areas of bigger populations! So I'll be trying to spy, photograph, and submit all kinds of flora and fauna to iNat's database. If you live in a city of any size, feel free to join! There are also specific project pages for some bigger cities, like Boston and New York.

Pictured: a cabbage white butterfly I saw last week, my first of the season! These are probably the most common butterfly people see, and a lot of folks think they're moths bc they're white. Their caterpillars feed on... Can you guess?

Happy World Frog Day! Fun Frog Fact: Toads are frogs! Therefore, we should for sure celebrate them today too. How do you tell a toad from a frog, tho? If you had just asked him, he would have toad you.

Seriously, though... Toads tend to have bumpier skin, frogs will live in or near the water. But they're all frogs.

My first end-of-year post! I kind of like this trend better than "top 10" or "favorite x" of the year because I'm bad at ranking and also does this mean what I like or what sold well? Bah, anyway, here are things that I made this year.

Thank you thank you for a warm welcome at my first comics expo!! I'd been battling a lot of imposter syndrome leading up to the event but everyone was so sweet, the place was PACKED both days, and I met so many incredible, talented artists! I even pulled off my first story comic, Eat at Lu's, and sold out of the stock I took!

Thanks to everyone who took home some creatures, left me a Doodlebug, and stopped by to talk bugs and birds. I love connecting with my fellow nature nerds.

Excited to come back next year is whatever capacity I can!
