🌿CBD is all the rage🤙🏼.
It's definitely gaining more traction and I bet you've seen multiple folks and entrepreneurs discuss how they lean on their CBD supplements to help them take on their days!
And just to get the answer out of the way~ NO, CBD does NOT make you high!
And just to be open, I've been using this product since I was 18 to manage a whole lot of different issues, from poor sleep to PTSD to healing and recovering through injuries!
And I know, there's a stygma around anything related to sister Mary🌿, but before marinating in a lot of assumption and judgement, I encourage you to read through these slides, explore what CBD can actually do, and tap into some critical thinking.🤔
This drug, supplement, tincture, capsule, what have you~ offers a lot more than why you may currently think!
Ps~ also uses CBD!

I like my coffee like I like my pelvic floor~
Strong AF.
I only first learned about the pelvic floor because Samantha from "S*x and the City" talked about kegals.
The pelvic floor is incredibly important for female health, they help us manage our bowel movements, help us lift heavy, help us have (ideally) toe curling or***ms and s*x and they can lead to some uncomfortable issues if they grow weak.
Pelvic floor muscles can become weaker after childbirth, if we don't strengthen them, if we deal with constipation, are overweight, lift heavy, cough for extended periods of time, etc.
Having a strong pelvic floor only helps us...so, let's chat about it!
And while sliding through this, please...do your kegals 💕😘 @ Dedham, Massachusetts

Let's talk about it~ 💩🩸.
We've been there, we all have sisters~ our moon cycle rocks up and we're sprinting and hanging out at the bathroom WAY more than we want to.
A change in your 💩's consistency, frequency, and smell are completely normal!
Let's figure out why? And what we can do to...help a sister out and have our cycles be a smidge more pleasant! @ Dedham, Massachusetts
The scale 🚫 never.
💕Measures your hard work.
💕Reminds you of all the obstacles you've overcome.
💕Knows how big your heart is.
💕Knows how many races you've crushed.
💕Measures your mental gainz.
💕Knows that you beat and overcame nearly dying.
💕Is a reflection of your worth.
💕Records how much you've been crushing life lately.
💕Measures the effort you've been putting into yourself.
💕Tells you what that number truly is (besides your reflection with gravity).
The scale ⚖️ only reports so much...you can see that number change throughout the day but it never has a direct correlation with how far you've come.
I literally only put underwear on to show off these quad gainz 🦵🏼. I'm heavier than I was on the right for sure...I could choose to cry over that number on the scale OR recognize that I have overcome a s**t ton to build all of this muscle. .
😜I didn't have much before and now, I've got some thick slabs on my legs, calves, tummy, arms, shoulders, pecs, glutes, etc.
❤️ This body of mine, the scales I've owned have seen this body grow 6️⃣0️⃣+ lbs, lose 3️⃣0️⃣+ lbs, gain 2️⃣5️⃣+lbs....in all those numbers....I have overcome so much. .
The scale never truly tells you how much of your weight is muscle, fat, p**p, p*e, blood, years of hard work, years of fighting, times of digging deep, surviving trauma...etc. .
🙅🏻♀️Don't let the scale make or break your day. Remember...you've come a long way. Giving up on yourself isn't an option. .
My weight will change, as will I...and through all of it, my friendship with my body will transform and grow. .
Don't let the scale define you...if you're wanting to take control of YOUR growth and make some massive changes in your physique ALONG with your relationship with your body, blast at me. Let's chat and make some moves 😘❤️🙏🏼💕💪🏼

Scale up a few pounds? 🩸
My sisters, we've all been there. Clothes feel tighter, digestion is a mess, those cramps are coming in angry, ibuprofen is stashed in every pocket...leading up to and even during our cycle, we may have a heavier relationship with gravity ⚖️~
It is NORMAL to put on a bit of weight during our 🩸, I personally rock 7lbs higher 😜.
As someone who's worked very hard to get her cycle back and regular...I view this monthly visit as a 🙌🏼 from my body, because I did her well!.
Let's learn a little bit of why we carry a bit more weight during our 🌝 cycle~ and why it's not worth crying over! .

The past few weeks have been testing, they've been trying, and they've been needed.
Mental and emotional health are things often pushed to the side so we can "live our lives" and get through days. When we do this for years and decades, when we are free of distraction...everything starts to scream.
🙋🏻♀️How many of you are finding yourself crying?.
🙋🏻♀️Feeling angry or sad or very frustrated?.
🙋🏻♀️How many of you are "losing control" or falling into self sabatoging behaviors and thought patterns?.
‼️Trauma is something you NEED to work through, you can't ignore it and suppress it and hope it'll go away.
I have tried this TOO many times, it never works. I moved across the world, TWICE in hopes that my trauma would just...leave.
It will strengthen, it will be a low humm tapping, influencing so many newborn shadows...and eventually, it will consume you.
A lot of people right now are discovering the weight of their suppressed traumas and they don't have any coping skills.
So, what now?
🧖🏻♀️Take a moment to breathe...stop what you're doing and breathe. In and out through your nose. Allow your breath to move through your body, scanning it for shadows and tension.
🏋🏻♀️Ask yourself what are some activities that you enjoy or miss that bring you peace? Maybe dedicate more time to this to help you be here, now.
🧘🏻♀️Acknowledge your trauma, listen to it, hear it...try to understand it. When it become too much, take a break and breathe....revisit when you're ready.
🙇🏻♀️Reach out for support, therapy is still available and incredibly beneficial. Talking to a professional about your trauma can help you create coping skills and find inner peace.
📝Start journaling, write down how/what/why you're feeling this...release all of it into that book. It's data, it's observation...it gives those thoughts and feelings a place where they can be heard.
🧘🏻♀️Try yoga and/or meditation. You don't have to practice either for hours...start with 1-5 minutes.
Use this time to heal and grow, you aren't alone. When we get through this, hopefully we have worked through our traumas a bit more.

Don't put your health further back...
I know it's scary right now, people are panicking, and preparing for chaos. But what I find astounding is that when I went to the grocery store yesterday, all the food my partner and I needed, was available.
🧁🍫🍬🥃🌭🍟🍕🍪Aisles of chips, bread, snacks, soda, sugary foods, ice cream, candy, etc- empty, not a scrap present.
🥦🍓🥥🍌🍠Produce, frozen fruits and veggies, vegan proteins, tofu, beans...plenty to grab.
If anything, it's important to prioritize your health and your goals. Your health shouldn't be pushed even further back on the burner due to this pandemic.
Many people are going to be more sedentary, they're going to be subjected to boredom~ this can and often leads to self sabatoging behaviors. Binge eating, drinking excessively, fat gain, stiff joints, etc.
I have a lot of clients now working from home, their gyms are closed, and they've been concerned about their fitness protocols...I 💕 that these womyn are wanting to honor their body, goals, and health.
‼️You need to keep coursing through your life and respecting your body. For health reasons of course, and for your emotional and mental health.
At DLD Nation we have at home DB and band only workouts available so that you can still kick ass, reach goals, and build/maintain a healthy strong body.
I even have clients that ONLY work out at home and they are crushing it. . .
I am not about to ditch my goals and you shouldn't either. Being, staying, and becoming healthy is key...
Reach out if you care about your body and want to rock that healthy life~ no matter what obstacles arise. .
Team DLD Nation has your back~ I'm with you~ .
We are going to get through this 💪🏼

"Your head is always in the clouds, you won't reach your dreams Vanessa".
"You're too ugly to make it, you have too much fat and not enough ass".
"You're a crazy bitch, you should kill yourself".
"Asian girls are better kept quiet".
"I've always wanted to f**k one of you, I heard Asian bi***es are nuts".
"Stupid c***k w***e".
"It's nice to have an Asian girlfriend, everyone is going to pay you so much attention".
"Just take it".
"You deserved (to be r***d)".
"Nobody wants to hear about your (r**e) story, you're broken and ruined". .
😶.
These are just some of the words that have been thrown my way, some burrowed into my head and effected my relationship with myself...some inspired self doubt, some left me insecure...but not forever.
Being female ♀️, and a woc...there's a different level of hate that is easily dropped into our laps. And due to culture or societal expectation, I should just "take it" and keep smiling because talking about it makes me whiny and annoying...but, if you know me, you know I'm not one to keep about quiet this s**t.
George asked me the other day, what decision or action that I took defined me or the life I have...
🔥It was the moment I decided to report my rapist..this decision and action, it is who and what I am today.
The entire court procedure was horrible, dare I say more traumatizing than I ever imagined. He admitted, as did witnesses...and he barely got a slap in the wrist.
But, I don't regret pressing charges...sure, I didn't get the justice I (or the multiple other womyn he r***d) deserved, but I discovered something about myself that I never thought was within me.
Remembering that I have overcome r**es, court, an abusive relationship (and surviving it), eating disorders, addiction, reminds me....that all these bulls**t words.
They mean nothing. .
And I want to remind you~
‼️You have overcome incredible hardship in your life already, you are beyond capable of achieving your dreams and goals, whatever is hard today....you have overcome harder. .
Dig deep, get it done.

Every single journey will have it's challenges, they're inevitable and they need to happen.
How you face them determines your path....you get to choose what to do with these bumps in the road.
Every single failure, every mistake, every disruption leads to an opportunity to learn and develop new skills.
🧘🏻♀️For years I practiced poor form in my asanas...but every mistake helped me learn AND unlearn.
🏋🏻♀️Every time I missed protocols, I got closer to finding ways to be successful with them.
😭Every time I've poorly communicated with my partner, I learned more about myself and what I can do so we can continue thriving.
Older, younger me would have taken the yoga corrections, the protocol mishaps, the confrontations, tense moments and...given up. I would have chosen to shut the door on even exploring different perspectives~
But, had I done any of those things...I wouldn't be a yoga instructor, a bikini competitor, an athlete, a body builder, a vegan 😜, I wouldn't have this beautiful career, this heart thriving relationship.
When you fail or make a mistake or fall on your face...know that more often or not, the worst case scenario is that you learn something.

Failing to plan is planning to fail.
I haven't been to Cali in a year and this time around, I'm in prep. I've got wod's to do, macros to hit, and protocols to follow...
I knew I wouldn't have much control over car access or even what foods some restaurants would prepare BUT am I just going to say "f**k it" and stop tracking? Am I going to bail on my wod's? Am I going to go ham at every restaurant opportunity I get?
F**k N⛔.
Make a plan, set yourself up for success.
🧆 Bring protein powder or protein bars with you, whether to work, on a trip, on a day out.
🍚 Pack your staples. I bring cream of rice, gf oats, and vegan tuna with me when I travel.
🥗 Plan AHEAD of time where and what you will eat and plug that ish into your MFP before you start your day. Prioritize that macro investment!
💪🏼 Find a gym to train at OR pack resistance bands with you. Make it impossible to not get your workouts in!
🏋🏻♀️ Schedule out your trip, or day and plan out when you will train or when you will have free time to honor your health. .
Since I've been here, I've hit all my steps, workouts, and have been 99% on top of my macros. I've eaten out, had my 🍩, laughed with friends, even shared some 🥃 and I'm still honoring my protocols.
I don't aim to fail and you shouldn't either. You deserve more than that. Throwing your hands up in frustration after a trip or event or thing and claiming that x, y, or z "ruined" your protocols is bs. .
Those things didn't f**k up your protocols....own your s**t. If you didn't plan, you planned to fail...
Honor your personal integrity and put in the grind...want to reach goals, want to succeed, want to keep on making progress~ follow through with what your priorities are. .
Plan to succeed, plan to be confident, plan to be proud, plan to be successful~ plan your path~ .
And if you failed, take it as a learning experience and next time~ don't plan to fail.

Impossible...I am possible.
These glutes aren't huge, but their mine and I built them~ instead of wishing they were bigger and dismissing my progress, I choose to acknowledge and celebrate this win. .
I used to believe that science didn't apply to me, that my body was incapable of achieving so many things, and I erased any growth by only feeding my shadows. We tend to do this often. We tend to feed the negative self talk versus entertaining possibilities!.
🧘🏻♀️Whatever our mind believes, our body will follow. If we approach a challenge with fear and doubt...we probably won't succeed. If we choose to focus on "flaws" and "failures" we are beating down that path. But if we set sights on wins and acknowledge our success, potential is available.
When I was sick, I believed it was impossible for me to be healthy, it was impossible for me to be strong, impossible to have curves, impossible to build muscle, impossible to weigh more AND be happy, impossible for me to feel good. Impossible to recover and live~.
🤔Have you ever believed that your dream self was impossible? Not realistic? Too far fetched?.
Instead of feeding that wolf, fuel the perspective of achievement and abundance. You are capable of success, you are capable of building and growing, you are able to tap into greatness.
Instead of believing things are impossible ..try "I am possible"....because you are~
