Highlighting one of our 2025 graduates! Read her story below

On Friday morning, we had the incredible opportunity to attend the high school graduation of one of Creative Life Foundation's founding students, Bopha. Anyone who knows Bopha understands the significance of this milestone!

When we first met Bopha 12 years ago (crazy!), she was just 9 years old, standing at a crossroads that no child should ever face. Instead of going to school like other kids her age, she was preparing to sell flowers in Bangkok's red-light districts, putting her at high risk and perpetuating a generational cycle of poverty.

Fortunately, Bopha and her parents were given an option—a chance for a brighter future. For about seven years, Bopha flourished in the Creative Life Foundation’s education program, where she learned to read and write in both Thai and English, studied essential subjects, discovered her passion for dance, and ultimately transitioned to an international school in 2019. During this time, CLF provided years of financial support, assistance with navigating the school system, extensive tutoring, and after-school support, making her the first in her family to attend school—EVER—something CLF is known for.

Bopha's parents never attended school. They didn't have the resources. With this, their options continue to be limited today; they struggle to get by, live in severe poverty, and every day is a challenge.

Bopha graduating from high school was a critical milestone, but it won't be her last. Next month, she will continue her education and begin her four-year journey at university. We are incredibly proud of her and thankful to everyone who has helped invest in her future through the support of the Creative Life Foundation.

CLF will continue to provide Bopha with everything she needs over the next four years, ensuring she has the tools and resources to thrive. And thanks to a VERY generous donor and friend, Bopha's education and living costs are funded for her first year!

We wish you could meet our amazing students and our growing youth leadership team. Last month, 3 of them were invited to join other youth leaders from several organizations in Chiang Rai to learn and grow as young leaders.

Our mission at the Creative Life Foundation goes beyond providing scholarships and mentorship to vulnerable children. We are dedicated to equipping them with the tools they need to be the change they want to see in their community and come alongside their vision as local leaders.

At CLF, we are seeing a growing group of youth mentors, an increase in graduation rates, and higher university enrollment. This year, we will have 40 students enrolled in university, which is truly amazing!

In early April 2024, we shared an inspiring story about Sky, whose self-determination and the support of the Creative Life Foundation provided a pathway to freedom.

Sky, like all students in our Northern Thailand Scholarship and Mentorship Program, comes from a village where education is limited and child marriage is the norm. Girls who aspire for something greater face the harsh reality of limited resources.

Today, we are thrilled to update that Sky completed the nursing program and is now working at a hospital in Chiang Mai!

Sky was not alone in completing the nursing program. Ratchaneekorn is now working at a local clinic in her village.
