The Umbara arc in Star Wars The Clone Wars remains some of the best Star Wars animation has to offer from a storytelling and character development perspective. Plus the actual planet aesthetic is really cool, would’ve been an epic map in Battlefront 3? A guy can dream

Umbara also provides some hard hitting quotes. Here’s a couple great ones from Rex and Fives that represent not just a shift in their thinking, but a shift in the series regarding the individuality of Clones:

STAR WARS HEIR TO THE EMPIRE - LUKE RETURNS TO DAGOBAH

One of my favorite scenes that we’ve read so far in Heir to the Empire is Luke’s return to Dagobah for the first time since Return of the Jedi. As I was reading it, I couldn’t help but feel like I was being transported back in time to before the Battle of Endor. Memories of Luke training with Yoda in The Empire Strikes Back, and his final moments with Yoda in ROTJ. With this simple poster, I wanted to depict a sense of loneliness for Luke in his return to Dagobah, as Yoda is obviously gone, and the swamp has swallowed up the remains of his hut, so he really is all alone out there with nothing but a feeling that he was called back to this planet for a reason. The cave is still there and calls to him, and we get a cool moment with Luke entering it once again. Hope you like this poster! Rate it 1-10

This arc set under the vast oceans of Mon Cala still feels like one of the most unique in all of The Clone Wars. Excellent visuals, interesting unique characters, and lots of action. What’re your favorite moments from this arc?

STAR WARS 50TH ANNIVERSARY POSTER

A poster I designed for the Anniversary of Star Wars Episode IV, A New Hope! Technically the 49th anniversary of Star Wars and we’re getting really close to year 50! So I wanted to use that gorgeous official 50th anniversary logo and make this almost a countdown sort of poster haha. The countdown to 50 YEARS OF STAR WARS starts on the 25th of May. So exciting

Also really hyped to have designed a successful poster for one of the OT movies. Something I don’t often attempt but acknowledge I want and need to do more of

THE MANDALORIAN AND GROGU

A long overdue poster for The Mandalorian and Grogu on the eve of its release! Really excited that Star Wars is back on the big screen, but keeping my expectations in check. Wanted to center this poster around Nal Hutta, a location we saw a fair amount of in The Clone Wars and now get to see in live-action. HAPPY ANNIVERSARY TO STAR WARS EPISODE I: THE PHANTOM MENACE

This film was released 27 years ago today on May 19th, 1999! I feel like this is my most rewatched of any Star Wars movie. Maybe because I always want to rewatch them all in chronological order but never make it all the way through. Either way I love it and feel like it’s super underrated!
