It's been one week since the release of our new single, Under the Sound! Thanks to everyone who has given it a listen, sent kind words, shared it on a playlist, and supported us on Bandcamp so far. Your support means the world to us!

A little bit about the inspiration for the song: Under the Sound navigates the impossible act of trying to grasp the impermanent. It traces the trajectory of being so caught up in life as to miss the forest for the trees, only realizing what one had after it’s gone. Whether gradual or sudden, such profound change can yield head-spinning results; this song illustrates the destabilizing force of both such scenarios, on a personal and a universal level. Ephemeral imagery underscores the difficulty of recovering a stolen life, like the near hopelessness of holding onto light in the midst of darkness. Set against a melodic backdrop that’s both mournful and triumphant, it speaks to the experience of moving through grief.

Today our new single Under the Sound is released into the world on Bandcamp! We hope this becomes the perfect soundtrack to your early days of spring. Huge thanks to Alex Allinson at for engineering, mixing, and mastering this recording. We had such a wonderful time in the studio crafting this with him, and can't say enough about how he approaches every detail with thoughtfulness and care.
