The brothers of Kappa Alpha Pi would like to congratulate one of our brothers and leadership board members Gia Hazelgrove, who qualified and competed at two different national tournaments for the Universities Forensics team this past month. After competing in multiple different qualifiers over the course of the school year, Gia’s successes amounted as she competed in 2v2 parliamentary debate and placed 4th in the Nation (JV) alongside her partner at the NPDA National Collegiate Parliamentary Debate Tournament. Additionally, Gia also competed at the PKD National Speech Tournament where she earned two superior awards, an excellence award, 9th in the nation in Open Debate Speaking, and 5th in the nation in Program Oral Interpretation. She was also one of two programs chosen from a pool of almost 500 competitors to perform in the pre-awards banquet Champion Showcase, where a few select competitors performed their final speech for the convention body. We are so proud of Gia and her immense decorations after so much hard work was put in to her speech and debate season!
