During Pride Month, we celebrate the LGBTQ+ community and affirm that everyone deserves to live with dignity, health, and opportunity.
At United Way of Treasure Valley, we believe that belonging is a basic need—and we’re proud to stand with our LGBTQ+ neighbors in building a community where everyone can thrive, just as they are. 🏳️🌈

We're thrilled to announce the return of a community favorite, The United Way FlapJack Feed!
The Flapjack Feed is a celebration of what happens when a community comes together. Around stacks of pancakes and shared tables, we’re reminded that everyone deserves a seat at the table—not just at breakfast, but in conversations about health, youth opportunity, and financial security.
This event marks the official launch of United Way of Treasure Valley's annual Community Campaign, including the workplace giving efforts hosted by businesses across the Treasure Valley. It’s our kickoff moment, gathering longtime partners and new supporters to fuel the work ahead and build a future where everyone can thrive.
There will be more info to come, but for now we'd love for you to mark your calendars for Thursday, August 7th 🥞

Last year’s reports showed 43% of Idaho households couldn’t make ends meet. This year, it’s 41%. It’s a small step forward, but with essential supports fading, we may see this number rise again. That’s why we’re doubling down.
💥 Strategic investments in education, health, and housing.
🤝 Collective action that lifts up every ALICE (Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed) household.
Let’s keep moving the needle—together. Here’s how:

“Up for the Challenge”: The 2025 Connect Summit - Findhelp The Connect Summit focused on a smarter safety net—built on trusted infrastructure, powered by technology, and shaped through partnership.

Today we pause to honor the brave service members who gave their lives for our country. Their sacrifice reminds us that a thriving community is built on courage, service, and unity—values we strive to uphold every day.

ALICE is more than a number. ALICE is the caregiver, the cashier, the delivery driver. And right now, 2 in 5 households in Idaho are ALICE—working, contributing, and still falling short. ALICE is Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed.
We believe no one should have to choose between rent or groceries, gas or medication. Let’s change the odds, together.

41% of Idahoans struggle to afford basic needs, new report finds United Way's ALICE Report details the Idaho households that are above the poverty line, but struggle to pay for basic needs, including food and housing.

📣 New data just dropped: 41% of Idaho households are still struggling to afford life’s basics. That includes families living below the poverty level—and ALICE.
👩🔧 Who is ALICE? Asset Limited, Income Constrained, Employed. These are the folks powering our economy—child care providers, grocery clerks, delivery drivers—who earn above the poverty line, but not enough to make ends meet.
📉 This year’s report reflects a small but meaningful shift—from 43% in last year’s reporting to 41% of Idaho households now below the ALICE Threshold. It’s proof that when our community comes together—through living wages, strong public programs, and community support—we can make progress.
But 41% is still far too many. Our promise at United Way is to bring partners together to show up for ALICE. Through partnership and collaboration United Way is focused on solutions that make lasting change. So that all may thrive.
We’ll be releasing our insights from the latest ALICE report over the next several weeks, but we encourage you to see them for yourself at UnitedForAlice.org/Idaho or via the link in our bio.
