'One of the few remaining of the greatest generation': Idaho World War II veteran honored Patrick Teixeira, a 97-year-old WWII veteran, was celebrated at Scheels in Meridian and will soon embark on an Honor Flight this fall.

On Wednesday morning we were able to meet with Pat and his family at Scheels and KTVB to honor this wonderful WWII Veteran

Idaho World War II veteran honored at Scheels in Meridian Patrick Teixeira, a 97-year-old WWII veteran, was celebrated at Scheels in Meridian and will soon embark on an Honor Flight this fall.

WWII Veteran Patrick Teixeira to Be Honored Tomorrow at SCHEELS

Honor Flight Boise invites members of the media and community to attend a special ceremony tomorrow honoring World War II Veteran Patrick Teixeira for his service to our nation.
The recognition event will take place Wednesday, May 27, 2026, at 10:00 a.m. at SCHEELS in Meridian.
Mr. Teixeira is one of the remaining members of America's Greatest Generation and represents the courage and sacrifice of those who served during World War II. During the ceremony, SCHEELS will formally recognize Mr. Teixeira and his military service.
