Brandon has been part of the Bison Ridge Fire family for two years, and we hope there are many more ahead. He is currently an Engine Boss Trainee and is on track to be signed off as a fully qualified Engine Boss on his next fire assignment.

Over the past two years, Brandon has continued to grow as a firefighter and leader, bringing dedication, knowledge, and a strong work ethic to every assignment.

We want to thank Brandon for his commitment to our crew and, most importantly, his dedication to protecting life, property, and our natural spaces.

🔥 E-351 — Utah Wildfire Assignment 🔥

E-351 and its crew are continuing to battle wildfires in Utah, and this assignment has given us the opportunity to work alongside an awesome crew of firefighters from Australia 🇦🇺.

We couldn’t be happier working with such a determined, hardworking crew. Wildfire has no borders—different countries, different accents, same mission. 🇺🇸🤝🇦🇺

🇦🇺 Australian Fun Fact: Australia has around 10,000 beaches—meaning you could visit a different beach every day for more than 27 years. Somehow, they still decided spending their summer vacation fighting fire with a bunch of Americans in Utah sounded better. 😂🔥

We’ve also learned that understanding Australian on the radio may require its own qualification. 😂

The nation has reached Preparedness Level 5 (PL5) — the highest level of national wildland fire readiness.

What does that mean?

🔥 Significant wildfire activity is occurring across multiple Geographic Areas.
🚒 National firefighting resources are heavily committed.
🌲 New fires may have limited resources available, making rapid initial attack even more critical.
⚠️ Fire danger is high, and conditions can change rapidly due to hot, dry, and windy weather.

What you should do:
• Follow all local fire restrictions and burn bans.
• Avoid activities that could spark a wildfire.
• Create and maintain defensible space around your home.
• Have a “Ready, Set, Go!” evacuation plan and emergency kit prepared.
• Stay informed through local emergency management and fire agencies.

To all of the firefighters, dispatchers, aviation crews, equipment operators, and support personnel working long hours across the country—thank you for your dedication and sacrifice. Stay alert, watch out for one another, and make safety your number one priority.
