40 years of Festival of trees! November 27-December 1. This has become a family tradition for so many families in the Tresure Valley. It’s even open 2pm-9pm Thanksgiving Day. In addition to the lavishly decorated Christmas trees, the Festival offers visits with Santa Claus, performances from local entertainers, choirs and musicians, and hosts a variety of special features including our gift shop, train and LEGO displays, a scavenger hunt, talking tree and more.

100% of the net proceeds generated from this year’s event will be dedicated to expanding the crucial services offered by our Cancer Institute

When’s the housing market going to crash?

Addressing concerns about a potential market crash, it's crucial to note that such an event appears unlikely in the near future, especially in regions like the Treasure Valley. A crash typically necessitates either a significant decrease in demand or an overabundance of inventory, neither of which is currently evident in this market. On the contrary, homes in the Treasure Valley remain in high demand, resulting in continued price appreciation.

Despite recent increases in interest rates and lingering recession concerns, the housing market is buoyed by a severe shortage of available homes for sale. Looking ahead, projections from Realtor.com suggest that the average 30-year mortgage rate may decrease to 6% by the end of 2024. However, it's essential to acknowledge the influence of broader economic factors. While the Federal Open Market Committee may opt to reduce the benchmark interest rate in the latter half of 2024, persistently elevated inflation levels could maintain rates near current levels of 7% by year's end. Interest rate fluctuations not only impact buyers' purchasing power but also influence sellers' prospects due to their direct correlation with affordability.
