With warmer temperatures coming up, you might find yourself enjoying the outdoors more in the next few months.

But if you participate in contact sports, you should try wearing protective mouthguards to protect your teeth from potential impact! This way, you can stay active while keeping your smile safe.

Most of us love to cool off with a chilly soda, refreshing lemonade, or tall glass of iced tea when it's hot outside.

But did you know these drinks can be rather harmful to your teeth due to their high amounts of sugar?

While it's okay to enjoy them in moderation, it’s always best to rehydrate with water, which can also help clean your smile!

What's your favorite thing to drink during warm weather? Share your likes in the comments!

Do you struggle with allergies in the springtime? Other than sneezing and having a runny nose, you might also notice changes in your oral health.

If you have dry mouth because of your allergies—or the medications that you use to treat them—you may be at a higher risk of tooth decay and gum disease!

Make sure to manage your oral health as well as your allergies this spring, and your dentist will be more than happy to help you.

It might surprise you to learn that not flossing your smile leaves about 30% of the surface of your teeth uncleaned—which is a heck of a percentage!

Brushing is important, but remember that dental floss is necessary for cleaning out those hard-to-reach places between your pearly whites.

What does your normal teeth cleaning routine look like? We'd love to know in the comments!

Did you know approximately 5 billion tubes of toothpaste are purchased every year across the world? This shows that most people are taking the necessary measures to maintain their smiles!

If you’re starting to run low on your preferred toothpaste, be sure to stock up the next time you’re running errands; your teeth will thank you!

What's your favorite kind of toothpaste? Tell us about it in the comments!

Chewing sugar-free gum isn't just for freshening your breath—it can also help prevent cavities and tooth decay by promoting more saliva production!

That said, this shouldn't be an alternative to brushing and flossing. Practice good oral hygiene every day, and feel free to enjoy sugar-free gum so that your smile is kept in great shape!

What's your favorite flavor of gum to chew on? We'd love to know in the comments!
